Class 4 felony can still result in jail time, but it’s the lowest class. I wonder where the feds are with their case.

This all sounds so sloppy. I think in the end he may not be charged or if he is it won't stick, but his reputation and career will still be destroyed.

If its true and it looks that way, he needs major consequences or it wont solve anything and I could give a damn about his career. He destroyed his opportunity its all on him

Considering that no one was falsely arrested he probably will be offered a plea with conditions. That is what happened to the woman who lied and said she was attacked by an Obama supporter. That was in Pennsylvania though and Illinois' laws might require something harsher.

I wonder what Sara Gilbert will say tomorrow on The Talk. She supported him and said why would he make all of it up. She sounded rather offended that people didn't buy his story.

^ They might be concerned he'll hurt himself. This has to be terribly humiliating. And no, I'm not sympathizing with him, I just think surrendering for arrest could be a dangerous moment.

What can she say? He made a fool out of many of us.  I can't really understand why he'd make it up either.

For me when he had the interview with Robin on GMA and for most of it didn't make eye contact with her I knew something was up. He kept saying he wasn't involved yet his eyes were all over the place but on Robin's face.....

Once I read his statement about knowing it was the Nigerian guys all along, I knew it didn't add up. I certainly took him at his word right until I read his contradictory statement.  In hindsight the lies are obvious, but I didn't approach his allegations with skepticism so I believed him.

And I will say admit I wrong when I said what I did about calling it an "alleged" hate crime.  It just never even occurred to me that he could actually be making the whole thing up. Damn.

No one has mentioned the letter. Was he responsible for that too? I doubt he will get any time. He will get off with probation. Most celebrities with money do.....I am sure if he.was your average guy on the street to do this he'd be gone for good.
