February 21, 20197 yr Member Honestly, I just assumed he was either being stalked or at worst he'd meet up with shady people and was trying to cover it up. He's never struck me as the type of person to do this kind of thing for, what seems, purely for attention. It's not like he shows up at the opening of envelopes or do pap strolls.
February 21, 20197 yr Member He's about to get Roseanne'd, and he should. I just can't describe how it makes me feel.

February 21, 20197 yr Member I'm not a big GMA viewer (or at all) but Robin Roberts and Sunny Hostin say it all for me atm: What's next for Jussie Smollett? @danabrams and @sunny discuss the legal implications of Smollett turning himself in earlier this morning. https://t.co/HuliI9y5rg pic.twitter.com/gJshhD196i — Good Morning America (@GMA) February 21, 2019
February 21, 20197 yr Member Sometimes I have to remind myself: I don’t know celebrities as well as I think I do. Hell, I don’t know people in my actual life as well as I think I do, much less celebrities whom I’ve never met and only know through “reputation” or people who are acquainted with him in the industry or interviews or social media posts. It can be humbling.
February 21, 20197 yr Member Jussie Smollett’s made arrangements to turn himself in last night (away from cameras)Now being processed. Fingers prints, mug shot..He will be transported to court. “He has made no statement to police.”-CPD spox @cbschicago— Charlie De Mar (@CharlieDeMar) February 21, 2019 There will apparently be a press conference at 9 AM Central.
February 21, 20197 yr Member So wait... Did I read that Jussie said he know it was the Nigerians all along? I can't find the post.

IIRC he was all set to press charges when the PD told him they'd caught two guys. When they said it was the Nigerian brothers he immediately backed off and said he couldn't believe they'd do it or something. So was he just prepared to charge two innocent strangers instead? I believe he did say in the interview he knew it was the dudes in the video. He just never counted on them being ID'ed. He even told an almost certainly fake anecdote about how a female friend warned him, 'baby, they're never gonna catch them.' Setting up his clean getaway. February 21, 20197 yr Member This superintendent is already heated at this press conference. Chicago PD superintendent Eddie Johnson begins the Jussie Smollett news conference by saying, "As I look out into the crowd, I just wish that the families of gun violence in the city got this much attention." pic.twitter.com/qHqwYmFvWO — Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) February 21, 2019 "This stunt was concocted because he was dissatisfied with his salary." February 21, 20197 yr Member You have got to be fùcking kidding me. "Empire actor Jussie Smollett took advantage of the pain and anger of racism to promote his career" -@Chicago_Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson @cbschicago pic.twitter.com/xhpYvtuOHE— Maggie Huynh (@maggiehuynh) February 21, 2019
February 21, 20197 yr Member How in the world did he think doing this would get him more money? Now he'll have no salary at all.
