Sonny loses ALL credibility as a mobster if Ava isnt dead by the end of tomorrow's episode. He has her alone on his private island. This couldnt be any more easier for him

The Ric and Liz material was good today. First time Ive bought them as a couple since he returned.

Do the writers and EPs of "The Good Wife" categorically dismiss viewers' concerns? From what I have heard, they care very much how viewers feel about their show. So much so that, in one case, they dropped a planned story arc after a few episodes because of the viewers. I don't follow the show, so I don't know whether I have all the facts straight -- and I'm not saying I endorse wholeheartedly this method of writing and/or producing a series since I've spoken in a different thread of my admiration for the late Bill Bell's stick-to-your-guns style of storytelling -- but I bring this up to make this point: you have everyone and their invalid grandmother praising TGW as one of the best, if not the best, series right now on TV; and yet, even with all that acclaim from critics and viewers alike, those people are not so high on themselves that they're unwilling to listen when viewers think they are heading in the wrong direction.

I'm not sure of a planned story arc but the the Kalinda' husband returning storyline was a dud viewers complained a lot esp in the live twittering w/EPs the Kings and writers it was wrapped up and kicked to the curb they cut their loses with that one and carried on.

Tyler Perry's HAHN will ask ?s on his Facebk wall fan concerns eg Benny who was in a coma most of last season fans were so vocal that in the premiere eppy last night right off the bat some miracle procedure is being tried by a new doctor. It was pretty apparent in story he was going to die. The gay coming out storyline he monitors fan reactions closely, esp the gay community since the character has been in love with a straight male he grew up with.

I had real respect for TGW writers when they posted their open letter after Will's death. Those were people who understood that the viewers were invested and that they could use social media to deal with audience feedback in a positive way. That didn't stop people from being angry and some people from swearing they would never watch again but it showed they they really understood their audience. It was a lot better for the viewers and the show. The complete opposite of RC's Twitter trolling.

I was just about to edit this into my comment. They kept the shocking death of Will under wraps for a year and anticipated fan reaction to a popular character and was all out there dealing with it. They didn't take the stance of hubris "it is what it is" or mock fans with I'm the writer and that's that.

I was one who was ticked because he was my fav ...never watching this show again but the writing has been so excellent now and how they are dealing with it storywise I forgave them. LoL

As for Stumpy, fairly certain Ava won't get killed off (but hey you never know)....so the only thing I'm wondering how she'll get out of this with Sonny. There' not much I'm interested in. My girl' storyline sucks with Ric, so I've been focused on TJ, Jordan, since I was right in my spec she's an agent.

IA with characters sleuthing don't forget the solo sleuthers: Liz in the baby storyline, Alexis finding out about Julian f or Sonny, Kiki/Morgan with a little bit of Michael re: Fluke for Sonny Where's Brad?

Anna blabbing to Dante about Jordan should get her fired.

Tracy "There's something wrong with him." well duh

Sonny making Ava squirm.biggrin.png

Anna told that dummy?!

Didn't Jordan tell Anna she was out of the loop because she can't be trusted? WTF?!

Friday:

I had to laugh at the hasty, failing attempts to up the ante at the last moment. Our saviors Craptini must know on some level that their "thrilling" "stories" are nearly drama free when they have a previously conscious and talking Lucas suddenly on a ventilator, fighting for his life due to a damn shoulder flesh wound, just so that Luke can have a way to attempt to kill him several times. It's all about the shock for them, isn't it? Bobbie walks in and sees Luke cutting of Lucas' air, asks what he's doing, and after the break they don't even bother having Luke explain his actions. DAYS at least finds some reason (implausible or unbelievable as it may be) to wiggle its characters out of tight spots they would never get out of.

On top of that, the only way for them to feel like the Lucy/Kevin stuff was "exciting" and "shocking" was to inexplicably have Kevin lose half of his patients? Is that the only reason they could come up with for justifying Kevin's desire to have a divorce? Such crap.

I love how it took Carly a whole night to realize that, if she gives the recording to Clueless Devane, Sonny will go down for AJ's murder. I just knew when she was excited yesterday that the following episode she would have a "shocking change of mind" because Craptini give us great twists!

There was more than that! They also expect us to believe Jimmy Kimmel talked about Kevin in his opening monologue. laugh.png

OMG, how could I have forgotten? I mean, wasn't the fact that his wife cheated on him enough? They had to create some bizarro universe were even Jimmy Kimmel talks about him? There is zero logic in this show.

It was clear that Ron and Frank were hoping Jimmy Kimmel would actually mention their shout-out on his show. My question, though, is: did it work?

Elizabeth looked so beautiful today  Her makeup and hair were on point, same as yesterday (the scenes were shot the same day I believe so of course but still).
