February 3, 201411 yr Member Guess this is what happens when you get sent away to "basketball camp"... For the 20th annual Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue, the magazine celebrates a year of spectacular film with a group of distinguished actors. The cover, a three-panel foldout by Vanity Fair contributing photographer Annie Leibovitz, features Oscar nominees Julia Roberts (August: Osage County), Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave), Jared Leto (Dallas Buyers Club), and Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave), as well as Idris Elba (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), George Clooney (Gravity), Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station), Naomie Harris (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), Brie Larson (Short Term 12), Chadwick Boseman (42), Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street), and Léa Seydoux (Blue Is the Warmest Color). February 3, 201411 yr Member It's really shocking they let some of the black actors in the main cover!
February 3, 201411 yr Member That's some terrible photoshopping of George Clooney's head, and just ugh at Julia Roberts and her hasbeen ass.
February 3, 201411 yr Member I hope he avoids the career curse that particular cover tends to put on actors. Or is that the "Young Hollywood" cover that does it? Edited February 3, 201411 yr by DRW50
February 3, 201411 yr Member SPECTACULAR cover. I just commented on it at Twitter. VH, you are hilarious! I think Tika and MBJ can laugh all the way to the bank! Edited February 3, 201411 yr by ChitHappens
February 3, 201411 yr Member Lupita Nyong’o has such a sense of style. She pulls the eye directly to her. Edited February 3, 201411 yr by marceline
February 3, 201411 yr Member Good for him. Has he mentioned AMC at all in recent interviews? Does he have fond memories of his time on the show?
February 3, 201411 yr Member Good for him. Has he mentioned AMC at all in recent interviews? Does he have fond memories of his time on the show? He mentioned AMC on Ellen a few weeks back. He didn't seem ashamed and didn't call it "the soap" like so many actors do. That cover is marvelous. Lupita N'yongo is perfection!
February 3, 201411 yr Member FANTASTIC cover! I don't think they have ever had this many people of color on their cover Edited February 3, 201411 yr by Lskreet
February 3, 201411 yr Member It looks like Michael just missed the cover fold. I have not seen the actual magazine yet, but judging by the logo and spacing, he is on the inside cover. That whole "class" of AMC Teens seem to have done pretty well. Michael and Amanda Seyfried (ex-Joni) are definitley the stand-outs. Alexandra Daddadarrio (ex-Laurie) and Micah Alberti (ex-Jamie) have had Primetime success. The funny part was just how marganalised so many of them were storyline wise throughout their run. I spoke to Michael years ago after leaving AMC to set-up an interview. He was really happy to do it. Our initial conversations made it sound like he was very fond of his time at AMC even with the dissapointing goodbye. It looks like Michael just missed the cover fold. February 3, 201411 yr Member MBJ comes across as such a sweet, humble guy, so I have no doubt that he doesn't hold a grunge over how he was treated AMC, even though no one should scoff if he did. He's said some great things about Lucci that came from the heart.

Good for the actors with the success they've had since leaving but IMO, they did diddly squat for AMC. Reggie, Joni and especially Laurie were just terrible characters
February 3, 201411 yr Member They were smart to put Lupita Nyong'o as the focal point of that photo. She really does pull the eye in toward her. Wait...does this mean she's on the inside of the fold? But yeah, that's the most diverse looking cover I've seen for the Hollywood issue of VF. Hope it's a sign of things to come. Edited February 3, 201411 yr by DramatistDreamer
February 3, 201411 yr Member I thought Reggie was a good character and could have added a lot to the show. Some of the stuff they gave him was dumb, but I thought it was a shame when they sent him off to basketball camp. Either way, it's nice to know Michael did value his time at AMC and doesn't slam the show or anything. He wasn't going to stick around at AMC in the end because IMO he was a real talent who was bound for his current success. Personally, I am thrilled for him.
