While not one of my favorite characters, Felix can be tolerable when used with the right characters. His friendship with Carly makes for great scenes. With Lucy, I like them, too. Send Sabrina away and utilize him as a B or C level character like an Amy Vining. Using him as a supporting character works for him. Side-eyeing [sanctimonious-ass] Robin is uncalled for, as she did not purposely hurt his friend. These scenes make him look like a jackass. He needs to evolve and grow up a little bit before I would pir him with anyone.

Lucas hasn't even gotten here yet, so before he gets thrown into anything, Cartini need to [and I know how hard this will be] watch the writing for Hogestyn's Lucas when Tony died and go from there. The character was well conceived, and hopefully won't be ruined. but we know what will happen there as Carnes will probably enter the scene on the phone with Bobbi while in bed with three other guys in tight black boxers!

And I think JZ looks good right now. But her hair should be shorter.

I really enjoy Bobbie envolvement. She just fits right in. Lets hope Jackie is not done taping. She taped quite a bit for January, i guess we will see her for 5 more episodes this month. :)))

LMAO! Julian's caution sure did last only TWO episodes. As soon as the plot called for it, Mr. Big Boss Mobster answers the door in a way that allows him to be easily overpowered/killed. Nice.

Is there a reason why Carly can’t just remove the gag? Wait, don’t answer that. And Heather pulls out that damned knife again and raises it as if to kill Carly. Bitch, who you kidding?

WHAT?!! Franco has a FRAMED picture of him and Carly naked in bed? The [!@#$%^&*]?

I love how Carlos uses an accent for different words (and then speaks the occasional Spanish) but, when he pronounced Puerto Rico, he said it like an American. HA! You’d think all those r’s in there would be a field day for him. BUT… I am not going to lie… when he told Sabrina he loved her so much he was willing to raise her baby as his own, it got me. It got me.

Why did they throw away Robin finding out about Sabrina's pregnancy? That should have been a whole cliffhanger and subsequent episode of reaction by itself. But, no, instead Patrick tells her how great Sabrina is for sacrificing herself. How one-sided can the writing be?

Carlos's devotion to that saccharine princess did touch me a bit, I'll admit. The actor is so over the top - we're talking the knob being stuck on "Gospel Play" - but he sells it. He's consistently entertaining, whether he is good, bad or ridiculous.

The Franco/Carly sex selfie - framed in the room - is so disgusting and such a bizarre, insane touch that I can't imagine who thought of it. Are they trying to sabotage the pairing?

    • In an interesting turn of irony, when Somerset came onto the airwaves in 1970... it ran against Dark Shadows and beat it in the ratings fairly quickly.  Then when Edge of Night moves to ABC in December 1975 and put against Somerset, the slow ratings rise that Somerset was allegedly having in late 1975 is derailed. From reading the write ups of the final year, the show dropped the May/December romance.. which viewers enjoyed and was getting the show some good press... the original cast member was sidelined due to medical issues, and the show featured pure crime stories without any balance. I think the crime focus was an attempt to compete with EON.  However, people that were into crime stories/mysteries weren't going to tune into Somerset for their fix.. not when Edge of Night was known for that.. and that show was running on a high quality wise when the network switch occurred.

    • Erwin Nicholson's last episode as SFT ep was 11/21. Whitesell started 11/22/85. Erwin was on board from March 8, 1985 so less than 9 months. Whitesell lasts six months (approximately) before P&G moved him to AW for two years where he primarily worked with DePriest. Whitesell was replaced on Search by no daytime experience David Lawrence who closed out the show's last six months.

    • I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
