I love how they said the wedding was "a week away" three weeks ago and it's only now happening. I mean, come on, it's not as if it built any tension, did it? Everybody was like "what's the rush?" and, apparently, the writers weren't in a rush. If they had planned it in advance, they would have known the wedding was in three weeks and could have said so (I know, I'm asking too much)

Does anyone else feel like Bobbie's little story is off? It feels like they had plans to introduce Lucas or something and Jackie had signed on for a certain amount of episodes but for some reason, the plans fell through and this mess is a hastily written rewrite to accommodate Jackie's contract.

No. I hadn't thought of Lucas once until you just mentioned him. Her return seems typical of Cartini's writing. How many other driveby messes has he done with vets since he came on board? I didn't think Bobbie was ever meant to have a story. She's a plot point

Not that nonsensical sh!t is new for Craptini, but Bobbie's presence is so out of place, it's ridiculous even for the wretched duo in charge of this show. If they were going to go this route, Bobbie should have been on canvas for more than 1/2 an eppy and not entertaining a terrorist and running errands for him? Wow! Just [!@#$%^&*] wow!

Lucas may have been dropped for now. There are too many characters, and the pacing/rotation/stalling is abysmal. If you are going to have this many characters, you have to be skilled to have them all make sense. Currently, GH does not make sense because you can tell, in many cases, the budget is keeping a key character off canvas. The quickest fix is to get rid of some of these characters, but if Crappy do that, they might have to delve into depth, character growth and plain ole good storytelling - they simply are not equipped! Please prove me wrong!!!!!

Bobbie's absolutely a plot point. It was clear the moment she was taken hostage. Bobbie's just going to stand there as he BARELY waves that little knife around? So stupid. The point of her return is ..... ? I'm glad to see her, but seriously?

I too wish they'd stop teasing us Luke dying. Ugh. Jerry probably breaks his fall and gets taken away or dies.

And that wedding ... OMG. Talk about heavy handed. So drawn out. And Robin still wasn't going to interrupt. Ugh. Thank god Emma saw her. I almost forgot that Emma was her daughter and not Sabrina's.

And honestly the only reaction I want to see is Mac's.

Oh and Sam and Silas are at this wedding because ..... ?

If Hearher can fall off a roof and survive, then I don't get the point of making it look like Luke is in danger under the same circumstances

Sam and Patrick are acquaintances. Not quite friends but he helped her when Danny was sick and got closer then. She also helped give him words of encouragement with moving on after a spouse dies as she went through this herself. Her invitation makes sense. Silas of course was her date

    • If NBC could have for seen the ratings of Lovers & Friends (the replacement for Somerset).. they would have for sure kept Somerset on the air longer. https://jason47.com/days/ratings1976.html  (ratings for Somerset in the final year) https://jason47.com/days/ratings1977.html (ratings for Lovers & Friends short run...getting as low as a 2 rating).

    • I liked them, too, and was really disappointed it never went anywhere. The whole art theft story was ridiculous, but they had a nice chemistry. Certainly nicer than Alan with Christine. With her, he looked like the funny uncle. The worst thing they did to Bolger, IMO, was having Phillip write that DREADFUL novel and dramatizing it while he wrote it. GAG, that has to be in the running for one of their worst storylines that didn't involve wacky things like clones or time travel. Soaps rarely do school storylines, or don't do them for very long. Not the case so much in the early days of soaps, but after GH took off in the late 70s other soaps took their lead and would catapult teens/young adults into adult stories right away. That's one reason Phillip and Mindy ended up with so many ex-spouses--they started getting married really young. They shipped Dina and Cameron off really fast after high school and stuck Alan Michael in a marriage storyline with Harley. Did he EVER go to college? I don't think so. It may also partly explain why Quint and Annabelle had to go, beyond TPTB wanting to do a cast sweep. Teaching is not a profession that plays well on a soap. Quint definitely had to quit being Indiana Jones, because that wore thin really fast, but they didn't do him favors by making him a professor. If they wanted to keep him, they should have done what they did with Amanda (who was in another dead-end soap job, concert pianist)--have him work at Spaulding as one of the major stockholders.
    • Judith McConnell (Augusta) and Denise Alexander (Lesley) were great screen partners on GH.  They got into some stellar arguments in character in the medicine room.
    • He also commented that Brad knows that fans are sick of the constant fake deaths on this show: Finn, Sheila, etc and that it's hard to take this seriously if it's another fake death

    • I just don't think Brad Bell has it in him to actually kill off Liam. He should have killed off Eric when he had the chance. I know John McCook is an original cast member, but Eric is even more useless than Liam. Eric should have died and then it would be revealed that he died without a valid will, so Donna, as his wife, inherits everything, including his shares in Forrester Creations.
    • I think we all will, isn't that how soaps work? lol
    • ^^ I'll believe it when it actually happens.
