Sonny shouting "I have never worn a wire" was obviously supposed to be a reference to the historic scene where Brenda wore a wire on him. Obviously, the writers recognize that this was a poignant moment in the character's history. It is good that they made an allusion to it, and I hope there will be more, as this storyline progresses. But it is not historically correct to say that Sonny never wore a wire. There was a storyline, a long time ago, in which Sonny was compelled to wear a wire. I cannot remember who he wore it on....maybe it was Sorrell? But I know that it was at some point after Brenda "died" in 1998 and before she came back in 2002. Sonny thought she was dead at the time and he said, regarding the irony of him wearing a wire, "if Brenda could see me now."

And BAM. There it is.

Yuck.

I cannot buy this for a second.

Robin Mattson deserves better.

I did like Ava's happy expression at Scotty wanting to prosecute Franco. And I loved Lucy's thirst for power expression as Scott was going on his rant.

Yuck at Carly near tears over Franco. GMAB.

The women really are looking good these days.

Honestly, I'm getting sick and tired of General Hospital being turned upside for these three OLTL actors. Franco is being rewritten again?!? If this doesn't take, will TPTB change his paternity again? It's a joke. I wish Frank and Ron would devote half the attention they give to the OLTL3 to the GH actors instead. Once again, it just makes me resentful. I don't care how good or well-liked these actors are, I just can't stand the sight of them anymore.

Who's shipping Hotty? #GH pic.twitter.com/IZZvtsGXyy

By the way, if you all didn't realize, the paintings were all based on sandwiches. Ron just posted them all and their respective sandwich on Twitter, LOL.

Heather originally ID'd them 1 by 1, adding: "Hung Wrong!" until she got to the hotdog, which she dubbed: "Well hung!" BS&P made us cut it.

    • I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
