Members Chris B
I wouldn't be against OLTL getting a new Executive Producer, but I don't think it's fair to say either soap wasted any cast members. They aired roughly 40 episodes, which as originally written and intended would be 10 weeks worth of story, or 2 and a half months. That is NOTHING in soap time. This was meant to be 40 episodes out of over 200, not to mention they were rushed into production and OLTL also had to re-write story when they couldn't use Kristen Alderson or Michael Easton. Both shows did the best they could with what they had. You are either a hater or severely misinformed. You know these shows were not written as a 2-per week soaps with 40 episodes per season. It's the same with everybody being up in arms about the season finales not being exciting enough when we KNOW those were just the last episodes filmed. Members KMan101
Why is JONNY trolling all the threads going on and on about how OLTL is dead? Give it a rest.
Members KMan101
And just for comparison sake in terms of ratings, Y&R which airs on TVGN (at 7:00PM) is averaging 362,000 total viewers, according to this release: http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/09/16/big-brother-after-dark-the-young-the-restless-deliver-record-ratings-on-tvgn/202863/
Members JONNYSBRO
Why are certain soap fans living in delusion and can't see the reality. Sometimes the truth hurts but we have to see and accept it. I am not trolling I loved Oltl it was my favorite show on tv at one time but all things come to an end. Members Vee
Jonny, your every post is demanding that everyone accept your opinion as the only truth. I thought OLTL had issues but I thought it was a good show, and it was not anywhere near the disastrous financial flop you're making it out to be either. And frankly, your taste is shot if you think Jean Passanante is a great HW and just what Y&R needs. If you can't handle the fact that people don't agree with you, take it somewhere else. You don't have to go home but you can't stay here.
Members allmc2008
Probable the wrong place to post this but I am watching on OWN right now and noticed that a character "Nurse" is played by "Katie Collins". For a second I thought it said "Kate Collins".

Members EricMontreal22
While I think Ginger Smith had a better grasp of AMC in the end--in terms of vision--than Pepperman had for OLTL, slightly anyway, I would keep Pepperman. She obviously ahs love ad, IMHO, a good vision for the show--when she spoke about why they replaced the writers, he complaints all made sense to me. Members marceline
What kind of channel is TVGN? I've never heard of it and I don't have cable. How is the promotion for Y&R? I remember seeing some web ads when it was premiering. I'm glad that the shows are hanging in there on OWN. If PP could find a steady production model and OWN played and/or replayed the shows in early evening I think we'd have a winning formula on our hands. Although I still think they'd be a better fit on Bravo.

Members marceline
Is that the channel that plays as the preview listings scroll underneath? I'm promise that I'm not trying to be obtuse. I'm just a cord-cutter trying to figure this stuff out.
Members All My Shadows
LOL yes, ma'am, that's the one. Back in the day, it was the Prevue Channel. I believe they're trying to phase the listings out, but...well, as we all know, when people who refuse to modernize make a lot of noise, they get their way. Members greens_dupres
TVGN also smartly ran promos during Y&R's ending weeks on Soapnet and immediately after with Billy & Victoria in character talking about moving to TVGN
