I enjoy Adam as he is presently casted. I do think there should be a "twitter ban" in their contracts because they all seem pretty childish to me.

This is why you have to ignore stuff like that. It's one thing to critique their acting, cutting them up on a personal level is ridiculous.

And I don't see the point of this thread either. Muhney's future with the show isn't in question. You might as well start a "Who would be a good Nikki recast?" thread.

I think that a recast would make a huge difference. In the hands of a capable actor, the role Adam could be far more interesting than the mediocre Muhney can ever manage. Scott Holroyd, who should have never been fired from ATWT for the mediocre Roger Howarth, would be the prefect recast. He is a good actor who can bring subtly and vulnerability to the poorly written Adam.

I really liked Scott Holroyd as well and I don't understand why he was released. I think his version of Paul was more in keeping with Paul's personality-- there was a certain gravitas to the character because of all the experiences he went through as a child. I didn't like the 'zinger-ful' personality that Howarth brought to the role. I guess at that time, ATWT was desperate for fan bases, so instead of planning good quality stories to keep up engaged, they went to the soap celebrity grab, somewhat of a stunt cast, imo.

I agree with you. I am not familiar with Holroyd.

If by some miracle, ATWT were to ever to be revived--I would cast him back in the role of Paul.

I don't know about Adam though, I think I'll always find this character distasteful now and I like Scott so...

However, given what went done with his leaving the role, does he even have an acting career anymore? He broke a contract, and for all the wrong reasons, too.

I would want someone similar to the first Adam, who was more innocent looking which gave a creepy quality when he schemed. It's similar to Knots Landing bringing on America's Sweetheart (Donna Mills) as their new mega-bitch. I find it interesting to see the actor play against what you'd expect from them. I don't hate Michael Muhney, but I don't see his appeal. I understand he's popular and that's fine, but I'm just not interested in Adam at all. I find him extremely dull.

Adam is a dead character. Almost any positive reaction I see about him mostly involves people who are in love with Michael Muhney.

If I wanted to know what you guys thought about it, I would ask. Isn't that one of the advantages of a fan message board? To get input?

When I watched, I preferred Engen. Everytime I see Muhney he looks awful on-screen and Adam is just not appealing in the slightest. I wish I could enjoy the character and the potential behind Adam.

Yes, and the tweet after that - MM responding to Braeden's comment - is the one that I think crossed a line. Now I see MM differently - can't help it.
