It really cracked me up to see people upset over this. Blake Hood was laughable as Kyle. He came off as a big doofus and everybody is acting like he is some acting god. I think we traded up with both Abby and Kyle.

I've never seen this Hood person on screen but in that pic, he looks really slimy and sort of stoned.

He always seemed to come off as stoned, just like Miller often came off as a drunken mess. I will say Hood and Miller looked a little bit alike. I was indifferent to him but he had zero presence on-screen. I haven't seen the Summer/Kyle stuff cuz I haven't watched much lately.

I remember they had Kyle lusting after Phyllis. Has that stopped?

Next to go not recasted but fired should be Lily and Cane those two have the be the most boring unintresting charactes/actors in daytime. Have then move to Australia and never to be seen again.

Good lord! THIS is who they got to replace BH as Kyle? This is dreadful! I cannot fathom what people hated so much about BH. He was really cute (certainly compared to this) and he was no more worse of an actor than most of the cast right now.

Thank god he's gone, but the new guy is hideous from the pics you guys keep posting. Hopefully he's talented. Shouldn't be too hard to be better than Blake Hood.

+1 We're actually getting people with some onscreen personality and chemistry with scene partner's now.

And I won't say they didn't try to make BH work because they did for both him and MR in the past month and it felt flat. I'm supposed to put up with his personality of a brick onscreen and lack of chemistry with his scene partners because he was alright in the face?

yeah, the other guy was waaaaay too 'frat boy, fun times!' and this new guy works better for the 'seduce and destroy' storyline that (I think) is coming up for Kyle. Dood is gonna seduce Phyllis and Summer in order to get revenge for his dead mom, who's life in GC Phyllis made hell. That's what they're doing, right? I can't imagine Kyle is OK with Jack+Phyllis getting together, again...

When I last watched, a week or so ago, Kyle was not paying attention to Phyllis, rather he was trying to duck Summer who has been chasing after him. I don't even think that he even knows that his father is back with Phyllis.

Actually, I found him quite stud-worthy - pretty face, nice body, typical soap material.

Eh...I liked him too....there are so many bad actors still on soaps and some joining the online soaps of OLTL and AMC.......Y&R cast still isnt what it once was....its filled with a lot of awful actors.

I read the DC comments as well and I was shocked to find out that there are people out there who liked this guy. At first I thought everyone was being ironic.
