I pretty much predict that PP/ABC will settle this out of court. I think PP will go on producing it and ABC will air it.

Basically, it will be ABC outsourcing production of the show.

Ok as long as Cartini aint involved. If this happens, ABC would b smart to Keep Ginger & Jen as the soap's EP's

While I do think they will eventually settle, I highly doubt PP will want to do the show again. I think they are just looking to recoup some money. Also, there are several actors who may not want to do business with PP again considering all the miscommunication and such. However, it the show was to come back(and I doubt they will but you never know), I can see ABC working with someone else to do the show, possibly online again.

ABC WILL eventually get the rights back, whether that's this year or in a few years - the contract doesn't go on forever. I know some fans think ABC wants to produce the show again. I'm not sure what to think. I could see them wanting to use a few characters on GH, but I can't see them wanting to produce the show again as a five hour a week television program. I could perhaps see them doing an online or cable version of the show or maybe a spinoff, perhaps in a seasonal format with fewer or shorter episodes, but I think even that's unlikely unless ABC has someone high up who is willing to think outside the box a lot. I don't see ABC and PP working together after all of this. Would you enter into a new contract with a company that sued you for almost $100 million? PP proved that while they could produce a visually appealing show, they don't have the slightest clue how to properly market it and monetize it and build a sizable enough audience online.

The more time passes, the less likely a show specifically named All My Children and/or One Life To Live would happen in any format. It would most likely be less of a hassle to create a new show entirely. No, you can't capitalize from history but there wouldn't be any of those distasteful memories of unceremoniously dumping these shows either. I don't think there is trust with either ABC or PP, so I don't think they'd be able to lure any actors from previous stints back and I don't see the any other entity taking on a show with decades behind it and admant fans who each have personal wish lists and dreams for these show.

At this point, most production companies would rather spend their time looking for the next Orange is the New Black or the next House of Cards. JMO.

I'll say what I've always said. It'll happen someday in the vague future - the brands are too valuable - but that won't be today.

Of course, I sure didn't think it would be last year either.

I wish Agnes could create a new soap and slowly bring in characters of both shows. Of course, she would have to get the rights to the characters first.

    • Welcome back, Shawn Douglas! It's been a while. It really is too bad that the writers don't really have an interest in the character because there are still a lot of ways that he can be used effectively on the canvas. He should have been a part of the 60th anniversary celebrations as well. If anything, just to represent Bo and Hope. And I'd much rather see Jada paired with him than possibly with Theo. But I enjoyed him getting caught up with Belle, and comforting her. I'm sure they'll find their way back to each other at some point but I do like them as divorced friends. I just hope we see it play out onscreen. Belle being a dick about Sami again was unnecessary though. And we finally saw Liam again!  I'm curious to see how this storyline is going to play out, and who's going to be weaved into it. He and Abe do work well together too. And we learned that he has a kid. Hopefully, we'll learn more about his character in the future. But I'm not really sure about Johnny and Chanel suddenly having problems with raising Trey. They've wanted a baby for so long, so I don't understand why this is even an issue. They should know by now what it's like to raise a baby. But I did enjoy Johnny's scenes with EJ, and that Johnny still hasn't refused to forgive him. This storyline was/is very clunky, but having the two of them be at odds is the right decision. There's so much story potential that can be drawn from that. As for Chad... there was no time for us to see his reunion with Will, but there's time for us to see him talking BS with Leo? I don't get it. And I don't get all this random dating app stuff either. Leo and Javi were boring af too. If we're forced to endure them, can they at least have some real conflict? The two of them losing the baby was the perfect opportunity for it.

    • I enjoy BF better on Days than on YR.   Chad is greater than Cane, in my opinion.
    • Ick! Seeing MS and BF making out as the characters onscreen was just ewwww.

    • That was the best part of Tuesday's episode.  Martin and Smitty and their family are boring.
    • Crew Morrow's acting on Tuesday's episode was just dreadful. The weird faces he was making were just awful
