I feel like tweeting PP with my favorite "Cuss clips." laugh.png For me they're when...

  • Zach told Jesse about the Koslovs and Jesse said, "What the f-uck are you talking about?" I've directed that question towards Zach more times than I can count.
  • AJ got into a fight with Hunter and screamed "You p-ussy!" I wouldn't have used that particular word in that situation but I loved the delivery.
  • David bumped into Pete at Jane's and said, "It's a lovely day, isn't it?" and Pete replied with, "You're an !@#$%^&*]."

And Vee I agree with you that the R-rated clips should be made available to those of us who can handle it. Be it on Hulu, iTunes, YouTube or TOLN.com.

It seems like they're hearing you- TOLN & OLTL twitters are now linking a new SOD poll & asking fans to vote about the cursing. http://www.soapoperadigest.com/poll/1107819/results

My favorites were Tea dropping F-bombs up, down and all around. The take of the fight with Victor a few weeks back with her screaming "what the !@#$%^&*] is going on!" and him grabbing her should've led to more crazy sex.

Blair got off a good one but it was a little too sultry.

Man, just make the Hulu cuts of the episodes the "raw" ones.

Tea is a character where profanity makes perfect sense.

Girl, hit that Soap Opera Digest poll. It's evenly tied last I checked plus 20% abstaining, and I think TOLN is paying attention.

I don't like that we get along.

This swearing off is stupid. There are lot more things to worry about than a word, like a gun in someone face. Don't watch cable if you don't want to hear a word. A word can't hurt you. The next thing you know there won't be any sex!

I don't think cursing makes a show seem fresher or hotter unless it's a show about prison or mobsters. On a former daytime drama, I think it makes it appear as if it's trying too hard. I'm good with the amount of cursing allowed on actual Daytime TV (bitch, son of a bitch, slut, whore) and maybe an occasional "*hit" being thrown out.

That said, it didn't seem necessary for them to officially announce this.

I voted and...ditto to your last sentence.

There aren't really many effective insults aimed at men on normal daytime tv.

There is the other "b" word...that said I don't think of whore and slut as swears/curses though many find them sexist. I use both to refer to men also...

I was actually thinking that as I posted. Television has/Viewers have allowed a lot of the female-insult bad words to become the norm, but not so much the male-insult bad words (the f word, the mf word). That said, like bi, I actually do think of men as whores and sluts as well when the bill fits. I don't really think you can throw whore/slut around too much without it feeling really tacky and abusive.

I do too. But on daytime the writers only think of women that way.

You know what, !@#$%^&*] it - I'm sending them an email about the profanity. Which one of the PP heads is the one who responds to viewer mail? Anyone got the email address? I encourage others to do the same.

John, I know damn well you know that email address. Come through for me or all the tweets in the world won't save you.
