Wow, you got jumped on for this? I feel you make a good point. Goutman is in the credits for PP too though.

On another note, I'm not sure people know what kind of stories and approach DAYS has been using lately. The scenes dig so deep into character. Watch a couple episodes (especially days written by Melissa Salmons) before you knock it, if you haven't since before January. It's very, very different from the Jim Reilly supernatural, crazy campy, or plot-driven DAYS.

Not yet. Then again because Celia is such an innocent virgin, any sex scene with them is likely a ways away and will probably be all sweet and tender and not the sort of hot, slam you against the door and go at it scene I'd rather see him in. mellow.png

Just keep posting. Never let a few posters dictate your opinions/commenting. As long as the Moderators feel that you are in compliance with rules and regulations, just keep on posting. I do and I will. As a lifetime supporter of Darnell Williams and Debbi Morgan, I will uplift both of them and support them entirely, no matter who or what either. Just keep on posting.

I read everyone's postings and sometimes I agree and other times, I don't. But, I do respect others rights to his/her own opinions, ideas, etc.

"honey"? lol

"you"? "us"?? lol

I know that you live for this kind of message board drama but you understand that this has to end at some point wub.png

I don't see SON as a soap freak anger management class, so I don't have anything else to say to you. As a matter of fact I never spoke to you or mentioned you from what I remember because I am not interested in that kind of soap forum role playing :) Not my kind of crazy. This is a discussion board and nobody can scare me off. I think I am allowed to discuss soaps and how viewers react to them. If you find my posts boring or offensive you can always block me. Or drink a glass of warm milk to calm down. Your soap forum anger issues (sounds so interesting, huh?) is not my problem. Ciao.

Right now I don't want to be critical or too harsh on characters and/or the show itself. This is only the 3rd week back and so for so many dedicated and loyal AMC viewers who fought hard and long to get the show back, I want it to succeed. I think that the show is doing just fine. With additional characters coming into the mix of things, it will just get better and better. Storylines come and go, and I commend this Original cast for their brilliant work at getting the show up on its feet and opening up the book of Agnes Nixon once again.

Once the show starts to settle into itself, then some tweaking, adjusting, it will be Ok.

    • I watched every Daytime Emmy broadcast from 1985-2011 and 2020 onward and the best years were 1985-1999.
    • Thank you for your input.
    • I'm that person and I own it.  I just find that look so performative. She comes across as playing dress ups. Will anyone back me up? ....anyone??
    • I didn't even bother.  And to trot out Lauren and Michael who are hardly on and don't have stories... It must be a money saving situation.
    • I recall a scene between Phillip and Chelsea that was played with Bolger--I think it was the characters' first major conversation--but soon after that Grant returned.  Chelsea working in PR at Spaulding made little sense. At least Blake was supposed to be qualified. Never understood why Alan was willing to give Chelsea that job. He seemed to really like Chelsea as Phillip's girlfriend, too, which made less sense, as she was even lower on the social scale than Beth. Wait... Just thought of something. Took her storyline?  Was CHELSEA originally supposed to be Alan's spy to help him get Spaulding back? Were they going to become lovers? Is THAT what Maureen meant about her being "wild?" Yikes.
    • The ball had a certain and-now-for-something-different charm back in the day, but yeah, it's just too polished, too much of an "institution."
    • Good catch. More Bell parallels. ICAM! With both statements. Same. It doesn't seem like they even enjoy writing for her. They may need to change her career to move her around.  I hope it's only for flashback scenes. Not every character needs a family member, especially the villains. That's how I felt, too. It ruined the coming out moment for me. I still liked the moment, but it was more like a plot device instead a more natural time.
    • My god Kristina was in full delusion today. I know she was never the best character but I don’t remember ever hating the character the way I do now and have since the baby nonsense.
    • To me that's always what they have been. I figured that was part of the charm to people who enjoy them. They could have just had the legendary Rosalind Cash onstage but instead they have Lucky and Luke (and Justus) in the background to give us some heartwarming comedy as the Pips. I think the Nurses' Ball should just have been left to those first few years, to be honest (any time before we got year after year of Ned "rocking out" and the year of a sex tape being played), but I do know many people love them. My main issue is they often just seem a little too glossy since coming back thanks to the HD format. I was watching the Spinelli performance on Youtube and it is clearly meant to be charming, silly fun, which it is, but it's more suited to the cheap seats era of the Ball where you had someone literally hanging from the rafters, not today's slickness.
