SOC is not bad. But, the Facebook/HULA folks will put their two cents worth in, for sure. Nothing will stop them. Some got the cursing thrown out and well, they have their strategies. I see it as ALL fans regardless of website message boards they choose to join are passionate about the show/cast/characters. IMDb, FB, Hulu, Goldderby forums, and other website message boards show passion and interest in the show and that is a great thing. Look at the bright side. They have a website and that is a start.

The color scheme on the site needs improvement. But, it is a start of hopes for 2014 and maybe beyond.

A Marian return would hopefully also mean a Stuart return (I'm just going to assume that whatever issue there was with DC's performance this time around was a temporary glitch) or a Liza return, Either/both would be very welcome. And even if we don't get Liza, I wouldn't mind seeing Opal and Marian mix it up over Pete and Colby.

I haven't had any criticism of PP, either. In fact, from what I've seen on this board, the majority of fans haven't.

Sadly, I don't think DC is up for playing Stuart again unless it was just a short appearance. Based on last week's Dixie/Cara conversation, I suspect Tad will be back sooner than later. I wouldn't be surprised if Liza shows up soon, too. It would be great to have Opal & Marian clash over the kids!

I would love seeing Marian again. I've always loved Jennifer Bassey and Marian for some reason.

And yeah, Liza got a ton of mentioning so I'd assume she's likely a candidate for a return. I still expect Tad at some point. Possibly Kendall, but frankly, something needs to be worked out or they need to figure out what to do. I feel like AMC has way too many characters still up in the air, even though the show's been great and doing just fine without many said characters, for story purposes, some just feel like they really should be there. Either nail down actors, recast, or move on, IMO.

I agree. But then again pretty soon the 1st year contracts of cast will expire and renegotiating time will roll around and then the hard stuff begins. Nailing down actors could include the cast they have right now pending contract renegotiations for a second signing.

I bet they are already talking this and given the film schedule I see a lot resigning. Shooting OLTL & AMC this way has given these actors the freedom to do other roles throught the year. This is unheard of on the year round 250 episode soaps on the network.

It was thought that shooting would resume in August and now with the September dates still not etched in stone, well for the actors to re-sign for a 2nd year would require firm shooting schedule to be allowed time off for other projects. The OLTL schedule was abruptly stopped due to the union mess and so actors need better guarantees and assurances in a solid schedule so they can sign on to other projects that have a shooting schedule to comply with. PP just needs to calm down, settle down, put out a schedule and no taking back anything and be decisive and make up their minds and stick to a schedule which will let the actors go on their merry way and do other things and say yes to other projects. and maybe write shows that would allow the actors to do other projects and write storylines around absentee actors who are given time off for film projects or other projects.

They also would like time off especially if a good money making project comes along even if shooting AMC conflicts. Susan Lucci would get time off and work things out with AMC and be occasionally be written out of storyline to work other projects. The 5 week on/off might not work anymore due to the reduction of episodes. Actors require insurance and also SAG/AFTRA will look hard at the reductions and mass losses of episodes that would no longer be there like the FIRST contracts they signed originally. Better compensation and wider incentives. A lot of the cast lives in LA. Make it worth it.
