No, because they have been all over the board eversince the PP rumors first started. That's when several people said that they would never watch a teen soap with new faces if Erica was not around. Then after 3-4 episodes some people claim that AMC doesn't really need Erica because she would eat the entire show, while now we have enough room to get to know the new people.

Also I have not seen soap fans here or anywhere say that PP are saints and the shows are flawless. They arent. Both have issues. However they are back. Im gonna support them & in time im sure the kinks will be ironed out.

And it has been. Im liking it now but in a while if SL can retun, Id be up to see where Erica is now.

No one is saying that. Im just speaking for myself & I will give the actors time to get footing. Of all the newbies, the character of Sally has been the most grating to me. I dont know if its the writing or the actress or both but it didnt come off as authentic to me. Although the Teen dialogue for the most part to me needs to be punched up.

I agree with The Wilson story & Caroline's Dementia. The rest is still too OTT

We are all happy that the soaps are back. That doesn't mean that I have to obsess over extras or stalk the cafeteria lady at PP. The fact that a member of the PP production answered someone's tweet or a random extra followed them back hasn't blinded me.

I enjoy both shows. Does this mean that I believe that network soaps are dead and burried? No. Does it mean that the word sh^%t and a half naked boy have convinced me that these are not "my mother's soaps"? No. Does this mean that I have to accept INSANE SORASing as normal? No. Does this mean that I have to wait until someone learns to act while I watch? Well, sometimes yes, lol.

Do I expect Douglas Marland material from the network soaps while I worhip scenes from Sweet Pine Valley High? No. My problem is not what I am watching, but I am reading. wink.png

PP's versions of the shows aren't perfect, but they are still more rounded, better balanced than they were on ABC.

Hunter is particularly bad, but the actor seems like a sweetheart... if he hasn't improved after this round of taping, then IMO, yes, they should find a replacement.

I would like to see Erica back, and I'm not a huge Erica fan (although I like SL). However, I think because of SL's schedule, it would be best for the to find a way to weave her in and out of Pine Valley rather than a regular fixture. AMC has all the right ingredients, Erica could just spice up the dish with a pinch of her, here and there.

So your major issue if I read right is that some fans dont feel the way you do. Well they dont have to feel the way you do. Everyone is ENTITLED to their own opinion. That is why its called an OPINION.

There's nothing more or less "insane" about the A.J./J.R./Dixie situation on AMC now than there was on AMC on TV two or three years ago with Jacob Young, not to mention Jonathan Bennett (and that's not even touching on the Kelli Giddish/Di-as-Dixie snafu). We all know that, so any hyperbole claiming otherwise is bullshit and a poor excuse to bitch.

Speaking of hyperbole, yes, there's been some as per the PP soaps vs. network shows. That said, I do think they're damn good, I don't consider myself "blinded" and I think piling on abuse and vitriol at them or anyone who prefers them to the network shows is way more about posters here and their personal crap than anything any of us are watching either online or on a network. So give it a [!@#$%^&*] rest, all of you. This is pathetic. I'm getting tired of these weak-ass speeches, mine included.

I know what an opinion is. When I try to express my opinion I am a hater and I am told to just accept things the way they are. Same goes with many other people who don't act like PP cult members.

Perhaps I miss the days when I would go through entire SON threads just to read interesting comments and conversations. I don't really care for the grouppie / fan gurl madness and history has shown it has only been bad for the shows in the long run. Many of the posters I enjoy reading are still here and I don't really have to agree with them to enjoy their posts. I have never had a problem with opinions. smile.png

    • In general, per Jason47's productionschedule estimate, most of what's airing now would have been filmed in late August 2024. But, as Jason himself would say, that's just an estimated average. As we all know, DAYS stuff is filmed out of order by several weeks and sometimes months depending on availability of recurring cast, guest stars, or especially if there is a specific set they want to use for a bunch of scenes that will air at different times. Per the JPI Studios photography info on some spoiler pics released... (film date shown within original URLs of one pic from SOD and a few from MichaelFairman) One scene that aired Tues May 20 was filmed Sept. 20, 2024. Some scenes airing Fri May 23 were filmed Sept 11th, 2024.   Per his IG, Leo Howard got married Sept. 9, 2024 in California.  So maybe he took some time off for that?   Or maybe it's just coincidental timing and completely unrelated.  As I said, some of what's airing in May was filmed in late August. It's so hard to say with everything being filmed out of order.
    • All I'm going to say is I hope Sawandi Wilson was acting in that dance routine because he one of the most rhythmless...... well you know the rest.

Even though I read the spoilers, I was a little surprised that Days went there Ari and Doug III. I won't say it's out of character for Doug III but I didn't expect it when he first heard it was happening. I'm interested in seeing where they go from here. I hope Tate finds out somehow and tells Holly about it. That could be a pretty good mess. But at the same time, their scenes felt rushed. We should have seen more of Ari and Doug III both at the Bar and at the Salem Inn  Doug III looked hot though. And Ari got to have scenes with Marlena too. I really hope that Days establishes a relationship between the two of them. I'd love to see it play out onscreen. And we got an update about Will and Sonny. But again, all this talk about John  I enjoyed the Holly/Doug III scenes too. I liked the way that she helped him today and comforted him about everything that happened with Julie. I'm curious to see how he's going to make things right with her. Belle is dumb but I always love the sibling scenes between her and Brady. I like that they have each other to talk to about how messy their lives are. And I actually don't mind Belle being dumb. I actually find it to be pretty interesting. Surprisingly, she seems messier than Shawn. Btw, now I'm starting to wonder if Tate being sick actually is gonna mean something. Or if Leo Howard just needed some time off. As for Shawn and Steve, their scenes didn't do much for me until the end of the episode. It set things up for tomorrow and I can't wait to see it. Brandon Beemer actually did a pretty good job too. As for the final scene... Idk.

    • per the description on the official GH youtube account, from the clip posted above:  the character Gio was performing "Glow", an original piece that the actor Giovanni Mazza co-wrote and released when he was only 12 years old.
    • I think what they're doing with Hayley being isolated with Bill goes back to when he wanted her to quit her job at the firm and become a “Real Housewife of Fairmont Crest.” But we've seen she hasn’t, so she should be out there mingling—maybe with Caroline—or deciding to join some league or chapter, involving Dani, Anita, or Nicole. I also wouldn’t mind seeing her in more scenes with Derek, since she’s one of the few people who can make him tolerable and less dull. Or what if she bonds with Eva? They’re both outsiders in the community and constantly made to feel like trash by the Duprees.   I’d love to have my theory finally come to light—that Leslie’s mother is actually Sharon. Maybe Leslie is bitter toward Nicole and the rest of the Duprees because she believes her mother should’ve had the kind of fame and fortune Anita has if things had gone differently, especially if her mother had the vocals—i.e. Dreamgirls, Effie. I remember Leslie saying she listened to the Articulettes growing up, and she also mentioned she lived in Chicago—where, guess what? The Articulettes are from.
    • Ranger, will you be his champion?! Tell Dante to back the he&l off? Be there for him in the coming days when he is going to be furious & possibly turn his back on the Cerullos & the Qs & show up at Sonny's door looking for a new place to park his weary head? As for me, I watched the NB every year even when I wasn't watching GH. Many years have been disappointing. So far this year is amazingly satisfying. Clothes! Performers! Drama!  So ironic that they actually have Cam doing what we always said he should be doing, emcee, tux, mic, huge toothy grin! Snark! Could they possibly throw any more shade? Nooo! This is like 100% attitude coming from all directions. You could say I died & went to heaven. Gimme all this high school talent show soapy goodness, I mean, it's only 4 days, what kind of wimp are you, anyway? As soap fans, we are supposed to enjoy these occasional flights of fancy. Maybe you aren't, but I sure as he&l am! And, I won't let any Debbie Downers ruin it for me, either. This brief early morning message was brought to you by the letter N for what else Nurses Ball. Edit to add: Didn't we see Sawandi really dancing in a preview?!!! And, as a Kristina lover, I think we are def headed to either Ferncliff or some other similar facility. Meanwhile Mansi & NLG their scenes yesterday AMAZING, that's acting. The point being that y'all Kristina haters are gonna get your way.
    • I have seen little of Wally, but I always think of the backstage story Julia Barr (I think it was Julia) told where he hated his character and storylines so much that at one point he put some form of clown makeup on in his dressing room to show his feelings.
