I know certain child psychologists suggest having your child engage in outdoor activities in order to build social skills, cognitive skills, and such, but a gun range?

I want to know how accessible were these guns in their household. It's one thing to own them, it's another to have them so anyone, including the children, can get to them with no problem.

Someone needs to explain to me why someone would need to own an assault rifle and 2 semi automatic handguns that are known to be used by law enforcement officials for "sport"? I want to understand what the gun advocates say is the reason. Because frankly I don't understand it.

I know some people think it's good to teach kids to respect guns at an early age and I understand that reasoning but years and years ago I worked with someone whose 9 year old son was killed in a hunting accident. Nine years old and shooting guns?! That doesn't make any sense to me. All of my uncles on my mom's side hunted but that's because they were poor. There were 11 kids in that family and they grew up on farm in Mississippi. They hunted for food, not sport.

Forgive me for being slow but back when alcohol was illegal wasn't that an amendment that was eventually repealed. I see no difference in it other than some people being so passionate about their guns.

Nancy Lanza is now being described as a "survivalist" concerned for economic collapse, who stockpiled goods, taught both her sons to shoot, was an avid gun enthusiast and often took to the shooting range. She homeschooled her son at some point. Information here.

I am Vee's Utter Lack of Surprise.

From the New York Times:

The Post is also reporting that Ms. Lanza often had a neighbor sit for Adam at a younger age, who was considered too "boisterous" to be sat for by his older brother, and prone to tantrums.

And if you outlaw guns as much as you are stating... then many more than 20 people will be killed in Deer/Vehicle collisions than just 20. The guy used an automatic rifle. Just make sure you only get to own something that will shoot 6 or less bullets, make you have to have a license for it, and nobody with a criminal record gets to have one. Or it could even be like fireworks... you can only have it if you live in a rural area.

The mother earns the Darwin Award, she kept assault weapons at home with a mental unstable person and taught him how to shoot. Unfortunately, countless others had to suffer for it, but as far she goes, she brought her own death on herself.

    • It feels like the show hired Hank Northrop first and are still deciding what to do with him lol. I don't have a judgement on the character yet, but this non-story (so far) has been happening for at least a month and he's only made 2 appearances lol.
    • I know Anita mentioned that she no longer was investing in the trust, while Leslie had stated that the interest was multiplying at a decent rate... but I do have a feeling she'll wipe through the trust in a short amount of time with the amount of spending she's doing. The show always throws in tiny nuggets of foreshadowing and having Anita's remark and Eva warning her mother not to overdo the spending tells me that Leslie will be blowing through that money eventually.
    • I honestly don't care if Laura is friends with Sonny.  She's been friends with him for decades.  The way she goes about the friendship is stupid.   She has no sense of self-preservation or awareness about the optics of parading her friendship with Sonny around town.  She practically celebrates it.  There's no reason in the world she can't just keep the friendship low key and explain they share a grandchild and frame the relationship that way.  A lot of Laura's choices, like getting into a public fight with Dalton, just make her look silly and like a fairly incompetent mayor. Carly is another PC lady that's starting to look silly.  I know she's explained her plan a lot, but it's still stupid and moving at a glacial pace.  If Joss is 45 by the time her revenge plot unfolds, what's the point?  Just dump Brennen and move on please.
    • On that same note, it's astounding to have mobster Sonny in the same office with Mayor Laura chatting it up about their mutual grandson. Think about the reaction if John Gotti and Mayor Eric Adams had a friendship

?? I guess the Logic behind Sonny & Jason acceptance is like when i saw a documentary where FBI agents said they'd rather deal with the mafia than terrorists or cartels---they're the "lesser of 3 evils". Anyway I'm about 30 years late on this convo.
    • Im confused. Does Jessica know anything about June's relation to Tyrell? At the start of the episode, it seemed like June was gonna slip that he was her son but she caught herself but later in the episode she referred to him as "my boy" and Jessica had no reaction like that wasnt a surprise to her No, Anita was putting money in the account every 6 months but we werent told how much was in it when Leslie became a beneficiary. The show has set it up that it was multiplying based off the interest so that its really worth quite alot now. I dont buy it but thats what they've told us
    • What was the point in Lori's return as Mrs. Max Hollister? That little story never made much sense to me.  Were there plans for a permanent return? Or even a new family with her as the matriarch?
    • I guess it depends on your device.  I can watch CW shows via their website on my Windows PC.
    • Ooooo A Liam episode? I'll watch it later today. They sure are churning the daily episodes out early.
