Even though Adam's technically on all the time, I don't feel like he's leading anything. He's supporting Sharon in her story, and supporting in Jack's takeover of Newman. He's not really leading anything on his own.

Adam/Chelsea's marriage problems feels like a B story.

I'd prefer to not see him at all though...

I wonder if they're phasing out the sh!tty eyesore that is GloWorm. It hasn't been featured in several episodes.

Also, Kristoff St. John recently Tweeted pics on set where it looks like there's a new set for a new restaurant.

I'm so glad Griffith got rid of Maria's hokey annual Halloween parties that Billy would throw at that dive bar. I also hope they never do another "It's A Wonderful Life" Christmas episode again.

Are you telling me that Billy's Hallowe'en bash is some kind of Y&R "tradition" now? Because -- no. No thanks.

And the Ghost of Christmas Past episodes can get canned, too. I liked Michael's one initially but now they are just saccharine, sentimental tripe.

Not only were the "It's a Wonderful Life" homages not Y&R, they weren't the least bit compelling or crucial to the long-term story either. Which is tragic, if you ask me, b/c even I thought Y&R, next to ALL MY CHILDREN and the P&G soaps, honored the Christmas season pretty well under Papa Bell.

The Micheal one did give us good moments such as Kevin in an institution, Gloria being the Jabot cleaning lady and Victor in jail. Other than that it was an assault on history.

Nikki's was just plain bad last year

The script was trite, but I didn't mind it too much, as they at least referenced her history. The Chompers one I can not forgive, especially the scenes of him berating John and calling him by his name, instead of Dad.

One Life to Live Tribute Thread

Well... this morning... inspired by OLTL's Anna Karenina storyline (Viki and Sloan), I decided that I'm craving a re-read of the book. The last time I read it... I must have been 13 or 14... so 16 years have passed, and I don't remember much of it. Then I find out there are 11 different translations in English. Here I was, spending a whole hour sampling different translations of the book before I settled on the... David Magarshack version, which felt more fitting for the melodramatic... soap opera nature of the novel. Some of the most popular versions felt a bit too stiff and artificial for my taste. I need to feel the pathos and the drama dripping from every page! I don't want to see commas where they don't belong. So... thank you, Malone and team, for inspiring me to return to one of my favorite novels. The edition is already ordered and should arrive sometime before Christmas. It cost me 1.50 euros for a 1000-page book in pristine condition. This is what good soap operas do; they draw inspiration from many sources, great works that have stood the test of time... and they also INSPIRE people to watch more, read more... Great art is often... if not always, in conversation with other great art.

DAYS: December 2025 Discussion Thread

Lots of good ideas on here about how to refocus the show in the last few days!
I know most people on this thread have problems with Leo, Alex, Cat, Rafe, Susan etc. They are problems lol, but I think Stephanie is almost a larger problem. Days centers so much of the show around her and her romances, but she's not a good leading character. She has no depth. She's a very nice girl with poor taste in men and a writing hobby. ZZzzzz..... Abigail Klein is very pretty and seems likeable enough, but she certainly isn't dynamic or interesting. Characters like Jada, Chanel, Gabi and even Belle are much more layered, and they get less than half the material Stephanie does.

DAYS: December 2025 Discussion Thread

Today was a bit of a mixed bag.
It wasn't exactly boring, but everything just felt so low energy. Playing a lot of things like a big joke didn't help much either. Days does not need comic relief as much as some people think it does.
And yeah, Susan just needs to be killed off. I'm tired of her.
Everything surrounding Alex and Stephanie was ok, but it reeked of no budget. Alex and Stephanie can't come into contact with anybody due to potential exposure, but they evacuated to a public town square and then had a nice long conversation with Steve and Kayla? OK 😂😂😂
Maybe this would have been better if it had played out for a little longer. But I'm interested in seeing this all play out, even though I think they're missing the mark by not having Jeremy and his feud with Alex play a bigger part in all of this.
As for the Dimeras in the crypt, I felt the same way about those scenes today like I did on Friday: I'm not that big a fan of the storyline as a whole but I did enjoy Chad and EJ's scenes together. I like the way they went from EJ comforting Chad over the custody suit to Chad accusing EJ of being responsible for kidnapping everyone. It's an interesting dynamic between the two of them that I wouldn't mind playing into future storylines.
I wouldn't mind them returning to this style at all. All the elements are there for Days to return to this in 2026, especially with so many characters being weaved into the Dimera stuff.
Chris Whitesell was co-head writer during both of those years. Days should try to lure him back.

He and Trina overhear the news that Portia is pregnant and are there when the police show up for Curtis. 12/2/2025 -- at the Ashford home with a pissed Trina. She's angry that no one told her that her mother was preggers, she's angry about Jordan being at their home, she's angry to see Jordan kiss her dad, and she's ticked the police are there to see Curtis. 12/4/2025 -- with Trina, still upset about EVERYTHING! It's a good sign when Curtis leaves the PCPD. 12/5/2025 -- with Trina after she talked to Joss. They should find the truth from Drew's shooting. 12/11/2025 -- visits Curtis with Trina.

Lucas continues to be downright pissy with her about Marco. Felicia returns and reminds him that their mother (Bobbie) could always hold grudges. Deals with Emma's attitude; Dalton suggests that they finish the project and sell to the highest bidder. 11/3/2025 -- not thrilled with Emma. Asks Elizabeth where Brad has gone. She thinks he doesn't care that she's back. Elizabeth lets her know that Brad came into money. He left town with no plans to look back. He probably doesn't know she's back, because if he did, he'd already be there to see her. 11/4/2025 -- giving herself a needle when Rocco startles her. She tells the family that Ned has a "widow-Maker" condition. 11/13/2025 -- takes Charlotte to the hospital to see; asks Shi%well to reign Dalton in. 11/14/2025 wants to make sure Rocco is okay. Furious when Rocco is sent to juvie.   11/17/2025 -- Emma and Britch have a long overdue heated discussion. Britt blames Emma for Rocco breaking into the lab. Britt assumes Rocco was just pretending to like her, but Emma lets her know that Rocco felt guilty about the fob... He cares about Britt. 11/18/2025 -- Britt asks Jason to let Danny come forward to save Rocco, but he explains about Drew wanting to have Danny locked up. 11/19/2025 -- At Sidwells to demand he help her with Rocco. They reveal he took her when she "died" and deposited her at the 5 Poppies. She needs him for medication. When she barks at Dalton in the parlor he mouths off at her and S#!%well, Jenz shoots him in front of her. 11/20/2025 -- after watching Jenz shoot Dalton. Pascal brings her to her apartment and threatens her. 11/21/2025 -- flashing back to Dalton's murder, she takes her meds before Jason comes to ask her about the key fob and working with Dalton. 11/24/2025 -- Jason returns to make things up to Britch for leaving to help Sonny and Laura 11/25/2025 -- arrives at Juvie and sees Rocco's face. Orders ther guard to get a first aid kit and threatens him if Rocco even gets a hangnail. Runs to S#!%well about Rocco's situation and realizes Jenz was behind the attack! 12/4/2025 -- at the Brown Dog. Uses Cody to upset ason, and Molly sees her kiss Cody, leading to wrong concluions... 12/5/2025 -- Jason assist a drunk Britch home and gives her her medication. 12/9/2025 -- hung over. Jason reminds her what she forgot, including her medicine. Marco tells her to get back to work. 12/11/2025 -- with Dr. Navarro delivering a baby, Portia sends for Britt to see her. Without a license, Britt relies on Lucas to order tests. Despite his dislike of Britch, he offers her a recommendation for her license because she is a good doctor. 12/12/2025 -- Walks into her apartment to find Jason going throuhher meds. He offers to have the meds reverse engineered to help her.She refuses.

Uncuffs Rocco when he is with Lulu. Tells Britt she shouldn't be at the police station. 11/14/2025 -- in court with Britt to support Rocco. 11/17/2025 -- with Laura at the polls. tells her he had Rocco separated in a single room, away from general population. Learns that Dalton never mentioned the lab being destroyed when he dragged Rocco physically to the debate... 11/18/2025 -- the officer that Charlotte and Danny confess to. 11/19/2025 -- Nathan believes the kids and sends CSIs to the lab for proof Rocco did any damage. Calls Alexis, Jason and Lulu in. 11/21/2025 -- comes across Laura and her flat tire at mile marker 8 and offers to help. Sonny arrives and Nathan is called away. Sonny calls Jason after Nathan leaves. 11/24/2025 -- Justine quizzes Nathan about whether Dalton came in for questions. Nathan says no, and the two await a CSI report to prove Rocco's innocence. 11/25/2025 -- goes to Juvie and removes Rocco back to the precinct. When ADA Turner confronts him about removing Rocco, Nathan asks her if she wanted to be known for prosecuting kids that get attacked in Juvie. She makes arrangements to arraign Rocco and have him sent home. 11/26/2025 -- Happy to hear Rocco was released. Goes through the other potential suspects with Dante. 12/1/2025 -- shows up briefly at Wallow and Drew's wedding, but leaves to bring Curtis in for questioning. 12/2/2025 -- discusses the night of the shooting with Curtis and his lack of alibi. 12/3/2025 -- continues to question Curtis 12/8/2025 -- reports the escaped prisoner to Dante -- It's Valentin. Dante assigns him to protect Lulu and the kids. 12/9/2025 -- Dante appreciates his friend keeping an eye on Charlotte and Lulu. 12/10/2025 -- finds Sellina Wu on Curtis' Savoy tapes. Nathan and Justine question him about the ;lie in his statement 12/11/2025 -- searches Curtis' office with a warrant finds a mislabeled video from surveillance from the night of Drews shooting. 12/12/2025 -- after seeing the incriminating footage of Willow; Nathan calls Nina in to tell her the news.
