The last thing the show needs are some more "name" soap actors to join in "exciting", "pivotal" parts. First of all, all these characters who took over Y&R over the last few years need to go, then recast some parts that haven't worked (Hello Lily Winters) and then work with the established veterans who need some time and good writing to heal from all the madness.

If he wants to join Y&R in a recurring capacity as, say, the State Attorney General (and thus, D.A. Michael's boss), or the new Genoa City police commissioner, I'm all for it. I like John Bolger. I have since GUIDING LIGHT. No way could he have filled Grant Aleksander's shoes as Phillip Spaulding, but he was good.
