Flannery OUT at B&B

Please no Pam.. The character is a joke. She was brought as a Sally replacement and that didn't work either.

The show could use an older actress when SF leaves. The only character I can think of is Bill's mother, played by a "name" actress.

I have been dreaming of Margo's return for years. Too bad Bill Sr. never convinced her to let him adopt her son. Now Mark would be a Spencer and there would be more for Margo to do on the show.

Brad Bell might also bring back Jackie for Eric, but I feel that the Marrone era has been erased from the show's memory. Too bad they destroyed the character of Nick and had Jackie marry Owen. If these two characters had been written properly, they could have been a solid replacent for Stephanie and Ridge.

BTW Bill Bell chose to write brand new families on Y&R when he lost his original stars. Would Brad dare to do the same?

Pam is too much of a cartoon character.

Stephanie has been more of a special guest than a prominent part of the canvas in recent years and if the canvas can't adjust to a new older presence that shows how weak it is. I don't think they can just go on based on weak characters like Thorne or Taylor or Eric. There's enough new people like Hope or Steffy or Bill (or even Liam) to bounce off new older characters and forge a new history with them.

Well that goes without saying. Personally, B&B has alot of characters with rich history wasted bc they only focus on one triangle. I would rather the two big departures used to utilize the existing talent and/or bring back some who never should have been pushed aside like Felicia

Yep.

Unless B&B can lure "name" actors to offset the one-two punch of Flannery and Moss's departures, this is the beginning of the end for the last healthy daytime soap on American TV. Simple as that.

Tease. ;)

Ideally they could do that and still bring in someone new. They didn't have a problem bringing in Bill, even though he's kind of a bore once you get past the relationship with Steffy that got so much attention.

Other than Felicia, and Margo, and Karen (if JJ was available), I'm not sure who to bring back. I'd say Macy and CJ but that doesn't seem likely.

This is where killing Bill Sr. was a mistake.

They should've saved Beth and recast with an age-appropriate actress so they could use her when this happened. The worst thing is that I don't feel Stephanie will get the exit she deserves. She needs to die, but they need her entire family back (that includes Kristen & Felicia) and it needs to be about the FORRESTER'S, not Brooke and her family. I'd also bring back Bette White to guide her to heaven. So sad that Ridge won't be there either.

A big blow to B&B even though the show has become the Liam show. I agree with the poster who said to bring Margo back. She could hook up with Eric and be the new lady Forrester and fight with Brooke. The show is going to become very dull without Flannery's fights with KKL on screen.....shame.

Chris, you haven't been paying attention. Stefanie's death will be about Dope/Liam/Steffy.

Stephanie will be on life support and after 20 seconds of Stefanie's dying words to her family, cut to the remaining 22 minutes of the triangle from hell. At Stefanie's burial, toss her in the ground, which will be easy because she's already in a Glad trash bag, 15 seconds from the minister and the remaining 22 minutes dedicated to the wretched triangle from hell.

Closing credits for Stef's final eppy:

We'd like to thank Susan Flannery for 25 great years...tune in tomorrow to catch Liam choose between Steffy and Hope. Oh, and theyll mourn Stefanie too.

    • Where do you discover this crazy rumor??
    • Jill Farren Phelps was always very skilled at saying what she meant onscreen in the bluntest way possible, like whenever she wanted fans to support one character vs. the other (hence Megan McTavish groaning about having to write Kale Browne's Sam Rappaport into three days a week at OLTL). Perhaps you should consider doing the same. Historically your intent is always far more obvious than your efforts at coy embroidery anyway. You believe people are dismissing Phelps' accomplishments, and suggest misogyny and fan blinders allow people to too easily pigeonhole and dismiss her skill set. I think we all understand her varied skill set. We're saying it's not enough to make up for her deficiencies as a storyteller and creative. JFP was undoubtedly a skilled technical producer. As a solo storyteller, and de facto HW, she was a repeat and predictable failure. She was not the first or last EP (male or female) to think she was a writer. If you want us to stop taking your behavior personally when you suggest misogyny is at play in board opinions of JFP, perhaps you should consider spending the next 10+ years here not acting like you're the only one who gets it.

Melissa was here today & we went to Michael's Crafts & Ofc Depot. In Michael's there were two beautiful LITTLE girls who kept staring at me, so I gave them a littel wave & very quietly said HI & then did back. I told Melissa they were staring at me. She smiled & said "Purple. A lot of little girls love purple & you forget but you have purple hair. Seeing you their whole imaginations are transformed! Thinking "That lady has purple hair. That means I can have purple hair! They had no clue before seeing you that it was possible." I just laughed & laughed.
    • This opening scene is hilarious...it's like someone wrote out the script for Philip with one hand. And Rick...sniffing a scarf over and over. And in their next scene they are still sniffing the [!@#$%^&*] scarf as the camera stays all over Philip's bare chest and armpits as he keeps working out. Insane stuff.

Bay City better be ready, because I'm back!   At Vicky's apartment she is once again drowning in doubts and jealousy. Deep down she realizes that her dream wedding will be a farce and nothing can change that. Bridget tries to calm her down, but the heroine is determined to suffer. She is not hearing any positive thoughts. She doesn't believe Jamie will marry her. At the Cory Publishing building another farce is in process. Iris, once again pretending to be the angel of love and sisterhood... is telling Mac and Rachel some wonderful news. When Iris has good news, you really need to look out for yourself. That's when things are bad. So what are the news? Miss Devil has put Amanda up for an award! Mac is smiling from ear to ear, and Rachel is suspicious. Maybe that's the effect Iris is looking for. To once again accent on the fact that Rachel doubts and criticizes her daughter. Iris will do anything to destabilize their relationship. She is like a cancer. Back to Vicky! Jamie is at the door. Looking like a sad puppy, he has come with a surprise. No, he is not gonna leave her and her unborn... Not yet. He has bought her earrings. Sad face. How nice. NOT. Victoria, of course... manages to break one of them the moment she touches it. Bad premonition maybe? She was back in hysterics. It's not easy to trap a man into marriage. Then you have to live with someone that didn't want you in the first place.  We were introduced to a new character (to me at least she is new) - Cass's sister - Stacey. She is giving me "hidden skeletons in the closet"-vibes. Love a girl like that. Stunning actress. I like her. The highlight of the episode was the strange and creepy reveal of Evan the escort... hugging someone named Janice's grave. I remember she had an issue with Rachel... and Rachel killed her in self defense I think... It was hinted in prior episodes, but I lack the context and story. I just know that everyone at the Frame house was mad that Rachel killed the bish. But I also got the impression that this Janice was sick in the head. So Evan is now talking to her grave and telling her he is going to ruin Rachel's life basically. Oh, Evan... I liked you better as a sexy gigolo.  Overall - 10/10 - how can I rate it lower when I haven't watched in months!!!

    • Once again, Marlena and Kayla were used very effectively and I couldn’t be happier.  Marlena counseling Johnny and then Chanel was the best part of today. They’re really delving into the human emotion of this storyline and I think that’s a good thing. It feels so much mature than it was before. EJ’s fear about what could happen to Johnny if he doesn’t let go of his anger could lead to some really good storylines in the future.  I also really appreciate the way that Paula/Jeanne are mixing it up and having different characters interact with each other. It was nice to see Shawn and Johnny remember that they’re cousins and share a scene together. I liked the parallel that was drawn between the two of them, and what’s going on with their fathers. I did have mixed feelings about everything with Cat though. I enjoyed Chanel warning her about EJ, mostly because it played into the way that she was written today. But I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Chad/EJ scenes. The two of them discussing Chad’s potential feelings for Cat didn’t really keep my interest.  But above all, I feel that everyone is being used more effectively and that we’re getting a better understanding of everyone as well. And that was exactly what Days needed.
    • It's a wild story for sure, especially the final conclusion (and fireworks offcamera, like Victoria Wyndham tearing into Michael Logan).
