Wrong Melissa- Hate is not appreciated. You have the right to express your Hate. I have the right to cut off "Days" if you are on my screen also. Please tweet Ms. Reeves everyone to let her know her hatred is not acceptable. I am Emailing "Days" also to demand them to get her off my screen or I quit watching "Days.

I so do not see her as hating gays. I've met her and her husband on numerous occasions, and even talked to Scott recently during GH Fan Club Weekend. Did not get a hateful vibe from him at all.

The issue at hand is whether marriage should be between a man and a woman or be open to same sex pairings? While personally I think marriage is nothing but a piece of paper as love between you and another shouldn't require legal papers to prove it, I don't see the issue where some people supporting the fast food chain is their way of saying they hate gays. If they don't think a man and a man or a woman and a woman should marry, that's their right. If, however, they said they hated gays/lesbians then I'd see this show of support as something completely different.

No the issue at hand is: why would she support a company who gives millions of dollars to hate groups, then proudly Tweets about eating at that establishment. Also, actors are called that for a reason: they act, on stage and off. Many paint on plastic smiles and appear genuine when meeting fans because they know that's part of their job. Privately, left to their own devices, we often see who they really are. Again, shame on Missy Reeves. The hypocrisy is too much, given her affair with Jason Brookes.

I'm not missing that in fact I said that in my post above. But the protests are not centered around that as strongly as they claim. If they were, CFA and their president have been supporting this organizations for years. Why are the protests just surfacing now? It's because he stated an opinion. Now why he did or why anyone cares what he thinks I have no clue. But I fully endorse folks protesting for the reasons stated, that just doesn't seem to be what incited folks.

Exactly, the protests aren't centered on the real issue of Mr. Cathy and his financial support for homophobic hate groups because until now, most people didn't know about it. It's just coming to light, as is his stance on same sex marriage. Hopefully, now that more people realize he spends millions of dollars furthering hatred and bigotry, customers with a conscience will buy their chicken sandwiches elsewhere. Or better yet, not but them at all and become vegetarians or vegans.

This woman is one obnoxious bitch.

And a huge hypocrite. Those holier than Thou views of her only apply to homosexuals, not to heterosexuals breaking their marriage vows in adulterous affairs.

What is this insanity? blink.png People have EVERY right to criticize ignorance when a person opens their mouth and says ignorant things. For some reason people confuse tolerance with acceptance of any and all things, when that is not what it is. Tolerance is freedom from bigotry, it does not mean being apathetic and permissive regardless of ideas, beliefs or thoughts. It simply means having an open mind and hearing their argument. If that argument is bullshit then the argument is bullshit, an unhealthy opinion/view should never be accepted as is without someone challenging it. I'm sorry but your point is bullshit, she does not get to say the things she says and then escape criticism for it underneath the veil of "her expressing her opinion", no as a woman who believes what she believes she should stand by her words and that means also listening for the criticism that people have against her.

Yes, I'm so sorry, everyone should just shut up about the fact that Chick-Fil-A gives billions of dollars to interests groups that aim to hurt and kill human beings simply because of their sexual orientation. We are soo self-righteous. How dare us. We should totally come off this cross and let them burn all gays, lesbians, bisexuals and queer people with the wood. rolleyes.gif

Do you realize what you just said? Amazon and Ben&Jerry's aim to franchise people and give to them in terms of charity and contributions that help people. Chick-Fil-A gives money to organizations that aim to disenfranchise gay people and hurt/kill them. I mean are you for real right now? Is this real life? Do you honestly not understand the difference between the two situations?

Gays are also being targeted by Chick-fil-a weither you want to realize that or not. They give money to organizations that aim to hurt gay people. Are you just glossing over that in your aim to protect the very people tying the noose around those individuals necks? Unreal.

Brilliantly put!!!!!!

Do I think she hates gays? No. But she clearly supports ignorance and hate, because she's clearly an ignorant and hateful person.

Funny to see "moral" lessons coming from a D-List actress best known for spreading her legs.

She shouldn't have tweeted that. I don't think she hates gay (honestly I will continue eating Chick Fil A, I love their food) but it was a little ignorant on her part, but she isn't going to stop me from doing what I like to do. *shrugs*

Gee, if CFA supported organizations who denigrate blacks or women or Jews or other minorities, would you continue eating their food because you love it so much? Do you have a moral compass? Is a chicken sandwich the driving force in your life???

You need to calm down. I left that comment before I knew they gave money to organizations that want to kill gay people. Excuse me for not doing extensive research on every restaraunt I eat at.

Chick-Fil-A gives money to anti-gay causes one of which is FRC which supports Uganda's stance that that govt should be allowed to round up every GLBT individual and kill them. That is the issue here. The fact that by supporting CFA you are also indirecty supporting UGANDA's killing of GLBT folks.
