Billie, I have a feeling has been backburnered on purpose. There was a blind item weeks ago about a major star being purposely backburnered as punishment for a comment made or something to that effect, which lines up with Lisa Rinna's flap about Joe Mascolo being the worst DAYS actor ever. I wouldn't put it past Corday to do something like that. It's too bad he's done it with one of the few characters that lights up the screen whenever she's on, and gets the show some badly needed mainstream publicity.

I don't know that i believe Billie is being purposely blacklisted, because I doubt Rinna would care. She has enough going on and has said if the show doesn't intend to use her she wouldn't stay. She doesn't need to. From the beginning it's clear they just wanted HER back. There was never a story in place, even with Daniel. They just got her and MarDar couldn't figure out what to do with her despite all the potential. I HOPE the new writers write a kick-ass Billie, but it's looking more like she'll probably be written out.

I keep wondering if she was quietly fired and we havent heard anything yet. Her absence REALLY bothers me

Most of them end up hitting the pavement like falling domino's when they try. I still don't know half of what goes on in this show most of the time because the players are all over the place. EJ is the rock in the maelstrom of MarDar's writing, it's everyone else who is all over the place.

I guess thats one opinion. His stories may generate online buzz but have yet to see one storyline he's driven lead to any ratings success including this dud of a story on the air currently. I detest Maurice Bernard's Sonny with a thousand suns, but Sonny stories for whatever reason get folks to watch.

Speaking of Billie, a friend and I have recently become obsessed with this scene during the Melaswen storyline. It's a hilarious example of JER's lack of subtlety, particularly during his last run:

She came on the show to take down Stefano, working undercover ready to use EJ to go about that. Why she is not involved in the murder investigation, especially with EJ now a suspect is beyond me

Billie never even really came between Bo and Hope.

She did -- there was the time Bo and Hope were supposed to get married, and she found him doing the old "sleep naked to share body heat" thing with Billie on Smith Island and called off the wedding. And then she blamed Hope for her miscarriage to keep them apart, until the truth about Georgia having been born in the swamp came out.

Yeah, the bulk of Krista Allen's run as Billie was about coming in between Hop and Bo

I thought most of that, aside from the Georgia lies, was just other people doing the manipulating. It just seemed to me like Billie only became a scheming character in Krista Allen's last year or two and most of Billie/Bo wasn't like that. I guess that would still count though.

I find it hard to believe Rinna is being punished for the Mascolo comments. To be honest I still wonder if that was just some silly attempt at getting some publicity.

I think Billie was a casualty of the infighting at DAYS - that's why people disappeared for long periods of time. TPTB just couldn't get on the same page.

Just watched Friday's show...seriously, the romantic town square dinner scenes for Chad & Melanie that we NEVER SAW BEFORE? Aren't those little moments of romance supposed to be what the show was meant to be really pushing for this time around? I actually kind of enjoyed those moments, as they were actually kinda romantic, and cute, in that old school soap way, as opposed to Brady/Madison spending the entire month of January in bed. Not that I loved them, but it stuck out to me.

As much as I don't care about Melanie that much, I'm seriously tired of all these scenes that are being flashed back to that never happened before. Maybe if the show stopped showing the same arguments between Sami, EJ, Will, and/or Lucas every damned day, maybe we'd be able to connect with some of these other characters.

Those were hilarious because they had Chad's new haircut in them...ahh when actor's change their hairstyle and have to film flashbacks.
