April 13, 201213 yr Member I think JFP is smarter than we give her credit for and I agree with your asessment. Lexi mad some twitter complaints about Jill that she shouldn't have recently that will bite her in the ass. Because Jill has her friends in the industry, just look how quick she got a new job and being on good terms with her really helped some people out career wise. I think multiple takes stopped sometime between 2008-2009. I think she's a far better producer than FV but her handling of pets and firings and show direction is not her strength. I do think over the years she's done a good job with younger or greener actors. I know GH used to have acting coaches on staff under her. I just don't think today's soap environment is conducive any longer to helping actors develop or do better. As for Lexi, shes young so I doubt anyone is going to pay much attention to a teenager.
April 13, 201213 yr Member I loved the music on OLTL and supposedly it was all FV. If true, he has great musical taste and will improve the music on GH. Um... when?
April 13, 201213 yr Member While I'll admit that I reverted mostly to YouTube edits once the Mannings were gone/Robin's funeral ended, it's disheartening as someone who grew up watching KA to see Starr so hated. And maybe it's because I've stayed away, but I still think KA can act. I've GOT to give up my sentimentality towards her, I know. Ready to be stoned in 3, 2... For the record, I don't think she's as nearly as terrible an actress as some say she is and will even go as far as to say that she is a victim of the OLTL-hate bandwagon that everyone and their mother is on. (Then again, as I've stated before, I don't watch soaps for the sterling acting talent.) Like you, I watched Starr grow up as the child of one of my favorite soap supercouples, so I, too, have a soft spot for her. Would I be as invested in her if she wasn't the child of T&B? Nope, but I wouldn't find her nearly as loathsome as some do. That said, I'd much rather watch her college-aged character than the abuse-accusing brat that preceded her on this show. I loved the music on OLTL and supposedly it was all FV. If true, he has great musical taste and will improve the music on GH. Agreed. I'm still hoping that he can bring on the musical guests in the same way as he did with OLTL.

Im most definetly NOT on the OLTL hate bandwagon and think her acting on this show is atrocious (not tha it was much better on OLTL). The scene the other day when she was supposed to be "crying" while expressing her pain and anger to Michael at his place was cringeworthy especially as no tears were coming out of her eyes. She's really not that good
April 13, 201213 yr Member I never got past the opening of the jailbait video. Too cringe worthy and that chick can't sing nor does she have the pop star looks.
April 13, 201213 yr Member I CRINGE at the thought of them bringing back Ned, Lois or both to resurrect LnB so Starr can pursue her music career. I hope they havent gotten to that bit of GH history on Wikipedia yet
April 13, 201213 yr Member I think for all JFPs faults she was a good producer in some sense certainly better then Frank and I think she was particularly good at getting performance out of some of the cast that was green. Actors like Lexi Ainsworth, Julie Berman in her first year or 2 were better because I think Jill took these actors under her wing. In Bermans case she just became lazy and bored. In Lexis case she was just never that good. Actually, if you read interviews it was JE and TG who trained Berman and NLG who trained Ainsworth. For the first few years of Berman's Lulu, she never worked with anyone but the greats. Directors bring talent out of actors. Producers don't have that role.

She can't dance either. The video is made up of tiny segments spliced together to try to make her look sexy and talented but it doesn't work.

The producer helps with the directing of the show. And directors dont help bring out talent as they are too busy focusing on the more technical aspects.
April 13, 201213 yr Member Argh, my eyes, my eyes! Totally cringe worthy. That girl has absolutely NO talent. She cannot act, sing, dance, or be sexy. On top of which, she is weird looking. She is lucky that ABCD has no judgement or she would be unemployed. Edited April 13, 201213 yr by Ann_SS
April 13, 201213 yr Member lmao AZ outside Kelly's Venus! Venus! When the elevator door opened I hoped that Sam would have fell in like in LA Law. Heather: I hope the baby is Franco's! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ov7aTXqMKfY

She is lucky that ABCD has no judgement or she would be unemployed. It's sad. All she has going for her is that she's in the right age group to pair with the equally untalented Chad Duell. I used to love Starr when she was a kid. Somewhere in there, everything I liked about her was gone.
