Y&R: Discussion for the Month of February

I see Adam as Avery's next target. Now that Phyllis is being humanized - I believe we saw the first of her Emmy submissions Tuesday, Avery needs to be the bad girl. And, she sure is with the Daisy thing. I can't wait for Lauren to rip her apart. Glad there is no doubt that Daisy is faking being 'good.' I have to say, I'm actually enjoy Phick more this time around - it doesn't feel forced or weird.

For the first time in ages, I've managed to watch some Y&R due to my schedule. OK is Diana DeGarmo (sp?) trying her best to (badly) channel Ellen Greene in Little Shop of Horrors? wow..

It is awful, and totally Eric on the Audrey connection. "♫Suddenly Seymour...♫" Suddenly shut the [!@#$%^&*] up.

I watched a little bit this week, and yes, Diana DeGarmo's voice is [!@#$%^&*] irritating.

She's a good actress though.

IA that DeGarmo has made Angelina surprisingly sweet and human in her stereotypical stupidity. Greg Rikaart looks he doesn't mind acting against her. Bryton and DeGarmo completely click together, and I love how warm and supportive Devon is in an unspoken way with his singing prodigy. But this SL is SO SO awful and has ruined her character. It is rendered Kevin even more useless and redundant than he already is (he was gone for weeks -- did any of us viewers even notice? Did Chloe even appear to be mourning his disappearnce and abandonment of her?). Angelo isn't even a character, he's a plot point. The only thing this SL has done is remind me how much I enjoy Ted Shackleford now that he's back.

Yes, TS is a most welcome return. I think it's safe to say based on Anita's reaction, that the story will be moving in a new direction, which is fine. I'm happy to trade Angelo for Anita.

Chloe? Mourn?

If they do Chloe/Daniel, does that mean Chloe has literally been passed around to every man in her age group??

No wonder they aged Ricky so fast.

Is it intentional? I don't remember her ever sounding like this on AI.

She really is surprisingly so. She's a small pocket of light in a blanket of darkness on this show

She is supposed to be a bad singer on this show. It's kind of risky for her career, as I wonder how many viewers will think she just can't sing.

I think Daisy is sort of funny, the way she plays all remorseful and then starts making thinly veiled threats.

Too bad Y&R doesn't write for heroines.

Every one except Devon.

I was laughing so hard when they had scenes with Phylis and Lucy this past week, it's so obvious that kid doesn't want to be there.
