February 19, 201214 yr Member I agree with R. Sinclair. I'm gonna need the once a month event to not happen at the Metro Court when everyone is conveniently gathered together for an event Next month, on St. Patrick's Day, we'll find out that Patrick Drake that guy Robin married, despite his first name, isn't really Irish.
February 19, 201214 yr Member She's the ideal flawed good girl. It's not like she stole a baby or anything... oh, wait. This was semi-cute the first second third time you did it. Not so much now. Going after my avatar won't change the fact that Liz is a deplorable nurse, mother, woman and general human being. The fact that the show has torpedoed at least four different female characters and her long term love interest in order to make her half way viable and sympathetic over the past five plus years only continues to make my point. February 19, 201214 yr Member Liz is a flawed good girl? Lol. That's a good one. Maxie=Liz. Except Maxie is seen as the bad girl. While Liz [!@#$%^&*]'s rainbows. Liz would probably be more interesting if they dropped the whole "butter won't melt in her mouth" crap. Drop her harem of men. Drop the passive aggressive crap.
February 19, 201214 yr Member Okay, I'm the first to admit that I'll probably only watch the show live when the Mannings get there (but I have the GH book/watched several different YT clips from various different storylines), but I LOVED watching the Anna stuff from this week! Also, the Memphis hate here due to GH depresses me. I've gone there many times when on my way to see my family in Arkansas, and it's an AWESOME city! But I won't mention it again for the sake of this board's collective blood pressure .
February 19, 201214 yr Author Member Sometimes though, I really do feel like some people forget that these are CHARACTERS on a TV SHOW.
February 19, 201214 yr Member I used to feel like characters were trashed for Liz, but I don't think that's happened since around the GVLucky era.
February 19, 201214 yr Member I didn't like Johnny embarrassing himself at the pulmonary benefit or getting embarrassed out of the building by Sonny. I have a feeling Ron C doesn't like Johnny very much I know Robin is dying but do they have to make it Maxie's fault? So what's going on with Molly and TJ over at the party he planned at her house?! I was laughing when all those teens just came busting in I was expecting to see that continue in Friday's show but it didn't. Edited February 19, 201214 yr by AllmyDaysatGH
February 19, 201214 yr Member I used to feel like characters were trashed for Liz, but I don't think that's happened since around the GVLucky era. The only character that got trashed for Liz was Liz herself. Back around 2006 she was horrendous, emasculating her husband at will, practically cheating on him on a live TV show, tricking him into loving her boyfriend's child while begging her boyfriend to rip that same child away from the tricked husband. Then she cheated on Lucky with his own brother...she was a fickle unlikable person. These days she is back to normal, just a normally decent person who can't get out of her own way because she is a soap character and therefore dumb as rocks.

I wasn't "going after" your goddamned avatar. Cute or not, my point is the "ideal flawed good girl" holds up. She makes bad decisions -- not out of malice but out of faulty logic. Then, she tries to get herself out of the messes she knows she's created, but makes it even worse. She's not going around town talking trash about people. She's not plotting and scheming ways to get back at people. She's not going out of her way to hurt people. Unlike Carly and Maxie, Liz isn't proud of her decisions that have hurt people. She's ashamed of them. She's taken personal inventory in the midst of her dramas plenty of times. She checks in with herself and knows that's not the woman she wants to be nor is it the life she wants to live. Is she needy? Yes. Is she manipulative? Absolutely. However, it's not out of a desire to inflict damage.
February 19, 201214 yr Member You're lucky. Unfortunately, it's all flooding back to me. Sam's past posing as Angela Monroe in a con, marrying and killing the father of the producer of that stupid show. Ugh!

Sam's past posing as Angela Monroe in a con, marrying and killing the father of the producer of that stupid show. Ugh! Yeah that storyline was a hot pile of [!@#$%^&*]. I liked the actress that played Amelia, but the character was a mess on so many levels.
February 19, 201214 yr Author Member I liked Sam as a celebrity! I didn't mind Sam as a celebrity, I just felt like the whole Angela Monroe thing was a bit contrived.
