They've been wise to lean into using Finn Carr, who is very talented. The issue now is failing to give Rocco or Danny adequate stories of their own (and I don't count Danny being sprung for Valentin's test tube hellspawn). They need to recast Georgie and add another female, and play these kids for real in the summer.

Ok today's show was awesome, BUT - was this Martin's last episode? I was so confused by the random goodbye scene today. Did they let MEK go, or is this just a temporary thing like Finola?
Also sad to see Marco go - maybe he'll survive? I stay spoiler-free with GH, but didn't see any headlines about exits.
I loved the ending. That kid playing Rocco really sold his emotions and fear in what he did. And I loved that he got to do that.

Because of the streamers, we now have more television then ever. You cannot tell me that there wasn't a well of talent available to write for daytime.
All of us who love soap opera should be angry that those in power -- the networks, the studios, the executives, whoever -- keep recycling the same writers with the same ideas and soap tropes. It's maddening.
The reluctance to change and experiment, the fear of losing their audience, the desperation of it all... honestly, it's hard to accept, especially with budgets getting sliced all the time.
I've been around for a long time, and I keep watching because I love the genre and because I'm addicted. I cannot see young people becoming addicted to the stuff they give us.

What an episode! I howled (in a good way) when Jason headbutted Dante. Really quick, well done stunt.
Loved the Lucas and Carly stuff, with Lucas’s bliss cross-cutting with Marco bleeding out.
Rocco being the one to take out Cullum was inspired. You do not reach adulthood in Port Charles without a body count.

GH: Classic Thread

I watched a bit of '04 after the hotel fire; I came back for Heather's return, but the story quickly got bad. I came back again in spring '05 before Tamara left to see A.J. and then to rubberneck at how very, very bad the show got. That year was a pure nadir where they were in clear crisis with so many stories, from Nikolas/Courtney to Reese to Michael's imaginary friend, even before Sonny/Emily began being built up which I saw coming from miles away. People didn't believe me until it was too late! It was bringing back Robin that saved the show, and I was locked in for a good while after that through the monkey virus, and off and on for the next several years.
I never lost a whole year of GH but some of the later Guza II years definitely run together for me. Even when there were still often good scenes, characters, etc.
