The 80's and early 90's were the peak of the special theme for couples. Some were played until viewers were driven to madness. Some were specially written. Others were off the pop charts.

What were your favorites?

Mine would be Greg and Jenny's from AMC. "Just You and I", by Crystal Gayle and Eddie Rabbit. It fit them perfectly, as that montage on the AMC wedding video tells us. The song is exquisite. This isn't the studio version, but a live performance. If you can hear the studio version sometime you should.

I thought Mason and Julia's (first?) theme was pretty: "Never Thought" by Dan Hill.

I also LOVE Shane & Kim's song on DAYS- "Friends and Lovers" by the one and only Gloria Loring, aka Liz Chandler.

"The Look of Love" for Doug & Julie from Days was definitely my favorite. Doug usually sang it or the instrumental version played. His arrangement was most similar to this one by Brasil '66.

This is such a wonderful, wondeful scene. And organ music! This is soap opera to me. Subtle, delicate, poignant and thorough.

Isn't the Ice Castles theme what Grace used to sing on Will and Grace? That song was always in piano books when I used to take lessons. "When I found you" is a pretty chord progression.
