I LOVE that TSJ lied to the press that he would not be on the finale so that we could get a good old fashioned surprise, just like the good old days!

Vincent Irizarry was blasted for "lying" to the press.

Wow! That was a truly breathtaking season finale, which frankly is what it was. They didn't intend it to be a true finale, but I think they did a good job of wrapping things up knowing that the show would have to go in a different direction if it moved online. The cliffhanger certainly would've inspired me to continue watching the show online and I absolutely will be looking at General Hospital now. The reason this is the greatest soap finale IMO is because they used the ENTIRE week as a tribute and finale for the show. They serviced every character and story to a satisfying concusion and each episode felt like it was truly leading towards the end. Other soaps (like ATWT) will waste those final weeks and then cram everything into that final hour. I *hate* that.

Can't believe it's over considering how good that was! The show totally ended on top. Good ratings, strong cast, etc. It's very shocking. OLTL didn't need all the promo and attention other soaps got, the show spoke for itself.

I'm sorry you guys are feeling sad today.

As an AMC fan, I know exactly how you feel. I'm a somewhat fan of OLTL so I've been watching this past week.

Saving this week's to watch tonight - but did we not see Frank V on at all? What was he suppose to do?

This is a dumb question but how did Cole get back to Starr? I know Todd's worker guy brought him there but how did Cole get the word out that he wanted to go be with Starr instead? Are supposed to assume that guy watched over Cole and his parents 24/7?

Awww, Beau's reaction to Matthew naming the baby, "Drew" was so well done. The baby was so beautiful.

Good finale for OLTL.

And with that, Todd is NOT a killer, and the Delgados are proven WRONG! PARTY!

Yes he still is a killer and they are still right about what he did to Tomas

Meh the ony thing he can be charged with is holding Toemas prisoner, my Todd will find a way out of that too

This seems like a normal episode to me.... are they planning anything special (other than these brief Allison scenes)? Did they write and shoot the finale as if it were going online, or did they update to make it a fitting closing once the online deal fell through? Anyone know? This just seems 'normal' to me today.

Yeah, it was too normal for me. Actually aside from Monday and Thursday, most of the week was a letdown, imo. I had stopped watching regularly in the early 2000s and didn't care for most of these newbies getting so much screentime as opposed to bringing people back.

Oh Mestiny...sad.png I'm crying

Destiny giving birth on the Buch couch is nasty. Thats worse than having sex on a couch. Did they explain why they didnt take her to a hospital?

that makes NO sense. Most women are in labor for hours, but Destiny's water breaks and a minute later Vivian can automatically say they have no time?

ICAM, it was ridiculous for Vivien to declare they couldn't get to the hospital. Now if they'd been at a remote cabin, maybe, but from the Buchanan mansion? rolleyes.gif

These scenes are too short... the timing is giving me a headache. I want to feel the emotions in the episode but they are not giving me the chance.

That's been OLTL for the past few years. It's not my cup of tea, either.

Didn't OL start with the intention of having a multi-racial cast and reflecting real life.....I find it fitting that Destiny and Matthew have the last baby together. Two different families racially and economically.

Yeah, it was nice how the show came full circle with the Buchanans having their first mixed race child and showcasing Tea & Tomas speaking Spanish, too.

ITA! I know most people loved Todd & Blair but I've never liked them together. The best parts of this episode for me were Matthew naming the baby Drew, which made me tear up, and Starr & Cole, which made me cry happy tears!
