No surprise. Glad to see it. Wonder how they'll pick it up on GH.

Wonderful show. I sobbed at Bo and Nora at the end, Viki and Clint, Starr and NuCole, Brody and Jessica's implied reunion. All of it. Very good, very happy, looking forward to the next chapter.

Somehow, I think we'll see many of these people again. More than we think.

B&B: May 2026 Discussion Thread

It's been 4 full weeks since we saw Sheila/Deacon/Tay-lee. I can't ever recall a soap completely vacating a story after such a huge reveal involving characters that are on canvas, exits, yes, but nothing like this.
The odder thing is that Ridge, Steffy or Hope haven't even mentioned them in passing.
I wonder if this is a budget-related issue. I imagine RB, SK and KB have smaller guarantees since they're not leads. I wonder when they'll pick it up again.

I agree. The only people who get special dispensation (like Setton, JPS, etc.) are allowed them at Frank's behest. But favorites, like Kristen Alderson, can still lose his ear when they ask for a pay bump.

I mean if it's in a totally hypothetical world, where she didn't write Y&R during the years when GL most needed rescuing, she wouldn't be so bad. Her tenure was the last when I regularly watched Y&R; after she left I fell off as a viewer.
I just see her as Bell's protege who was meant to take over when he retired. I connect her so strongly to Y&R. But she was a good HW.

Beautifully stated. The actual moment Brenda hears Lily is pregnant you can see both VM and MB almost collapse in pain. Brenda did immediately start something up with Jax 10 minutes later, but it made sense. She knew it was over (for the moment obviously). Sonny's conversation with her is actually really great. MB was good back then.

It's not exactly the dialogue being wrong it's more the phrasing being confusing. Like Gabi saying I have known Theo since high school. So it becomes vague like you've known Theo since he was in high school or you went to high school with him? Or when Cat said Aaron was out of town which I think implied while Sophia was pregnant? It's almost like they don't finish entire thoughts on screen.

I also don’t believe that stuff about her. Do I think she doesn’t take any crap and is direct? Absolutely. She’s been acting in soaps since the early 1990’s so she has seen it all, and I have never seen her checked out. Now I don’t think she has ever gotten to that angry grit that fueled SJB’s Carly, and they never really tried to write her that way because it wasn’t working.
I don’t think Valentini likes drama bts, and wouldn’t put up with it from her. Especially now. I don’t think anyone has any real power at GH bts except for Frank Valentini. The days of Maurice or Steve throwing their weight around are long gone.

I really hope it's not the former. Even if the dialogue doesn't always make sense, the script writers still work very hard on those scripts under the most impossible circumstances. Allowing the actors to ad lib would be insulting.
