September 16, 201114 yr Member Nice jump for AMC though it still went down a little in the key demo. Same with OLTL.
September 16, 201114 yr Member I wonder if AMC will have GL type gains in its final week. Maybe pull in a 2.2 or 2.3, they have had a lot more buzz around its final weeks compared to none for ATWT.
September 16, 201114 yr Member Nice AMC. Good hold for OLTL. I feel that AMC will hit # 2 during its final week. Y&R and B&B, once the classiest soaps on daytime, are now two garbage heaps. Cannot believe those gains. GH? LOL!
September 16, 201114 yr Member I'm glad those Y&R ratings didn't come a few weeks ago, as that may have stopped some of the much-needed firings this week. But then, they're still a half million down from last year.
September 16, 201114 yr Member YR and BB really just rebounded. BB lost 200,000 viewers last week so this week's gain isn't really that impressive.
September 16, 201114 yr Member Omg oltl still keeps the streak. Its no longer a freaking fluke. Up in viewers, number 1 in 18 to 34 demo three weeks in a row, beat gh 21 weeks. Show is unstoppable

I'm really curious to see the AMC rating wrap up. GL did far better than I ever expected while ATWT went out with a wimper. I think AMC will be the top ABC soap next week and maybe beat B&Bs sad 2.2 GL had a much strong following than I ever realized in spite of the show having odd time slots across the nation. I wonder if GL would have been even stronger with a better timeslot like 2pm? I remember reading that PGP considered GL the stronger of the two shows and that the original plan was to send World outdoors. .

I remember reading that PGP considered GL the stronger of the two shows and that the original plan was to send World outdoors. . The outdoor scenes were way better on ATWT then GL. It would have probably worked for ATWT. It didn't for GL probably because at first the camera's were very shaky and viewers left in droves. Wasn't GL doing worse at the time before it went outdoors?
September 16, 201114 yr Member Omg oltl still keeps the streak. Its no longer a freaking fluke. Up in viewers, number 1 in 18 to 34 demo three weeks in a row, beat gh 21 weeks. Show is unstoppable After shedding viewers for 4 weeks straight, that's a nice bounce back for OLTL last week. But it's interesting the gains came from men and not the females. Despite Y&R's big gains back, OLTL tied for #1 in 18-34 demos and that's the amazing story of the last month really.
