What was up with that cracked out Lil Kim wannabe who looked like a prostitute? I dont see what Paula did to her either bc out of the 3, she's the one that kept her mouth shut and didnt insult her. You know who she reminded me of? Tameka from season one. Ya'll remember her right? LOL

That guy that danced with Paula was cute. I hope he goes far. He has alot of charisma

Finally got to catch a full episode!

IA with those that said the judge aspect does seem kind of scripted. A lot of their reactions we have seen before which kind of takes away from it-- but the contestants are still a HOOT to look at!

One thing different this season is that they are actually letting people go that can sing... Before it seemed like they took everyone. I wish the show would focus more on the males though, from what we've seen it is all female once again.

Yeah I know he was really acting deaf. Some of those people he said no to were great like Randy and Paula said. Good thing you only need at least 2 out of 3 judges to approve you. He was acting very anal though-even more then usual and it seemed like Paula and Randy were picking at him for a long time and then he finally reached his breaking point. I have to say though these audtions are so fun to watch. Its definitely the best ever season of audtions IMO. I know there is alot of uproar over all the insults and it being maybe too cruel but I love it. I love seeing what the judges say when contestants leave the room. I still like when we get down to the best singers but right now I am very entertained.

Yeah the one whose dad is in jail and her mom left her. That story was so sad and I am really pulling for her. She had a great voice. I agree I think its gonna be another female this year. It seems that the males are lacking a bit but we really don't know since we don't really see all thsoe that have made it through.

I like American Idol but I have to say the judges can be harsh. I mean, everyone thinks they can sing (whether they actually can or cannot) and sometimes they just degrade people. Especially Simon. I just think they should find other ways to tell people they suck at singing then just merely saying words as "horrible" or "atrocious". Lots of people can't even perform in front of audiences let alone the whole country. They deserve to be cut some slack even if they did just waste the judges time.

A lot of great singers in San Francisco (reppin' the Bay Area )

Anyway, we still have TWO MORE WEEKS of auditions!! Then two weeks of Hollywood! The Top 24 will be revealed on Wednesday, February 15... geez, I'd much rather see good singers than people just wanting to get on TV

Here is the schedule from The Futon Critic:

I just read the intro and first chapter and I'm already hooked. I know she had a co-author, but I can tell Kim is a firecracker and I'd love to have wine with her and talk sh!t haha. It makes reading the book pretty easy and entertaining. Intro - I had no idea she got a DUI! She shared 3 bottles of wine with a friend at dinner one night in LA, got in her car, was pulled over and thrown in jail overnight.  She admitted it wasn't her first time drinking and driving, but learned a valuable lesson that night. Out of the gate, she's not holding back or hiding anything. Chapter 1 - the announcement that GL was being cancelled. She was driving to Peapack and got a call from Bradley Cole who told her the news. First, that's BS that as one of the faces of GL, you hear the big news from a fellow co-star on your way to work. Granted, the "suits" were traveling to Peapack that day to tell the cast and crew, but still, seems icky. Ironically the news came on April Fools Day. Apparently that was the last day the network could decide whether to cancel or renew, but to Kim's point, couldn't they just pick the day before to avoid the callousness of the 'holiday'. Obviously a sad day in GL history. I thought it was funny, she said the one thing she thought of is "what would Susan Lucci do" in this situation, post-cancellation. And of course she said she'd "find something to hawk on the Home Shopping Network"  You all would know better than me, but part of the title of her book is "seven husbands" and in her intro, she uses Reva's full name: Reva Shayne-Lewis-Lewis-Spaulding-Lewis-Winslow-Cooper-Lewis-Lewis-O'Neill.  However, in the first chapter, she said Bradley Cole was "her 8th (or was it 9th?) husband". Well, Kim, that already contradicts the title of your book and your character's name you touted.

    • I was incredibly moved by these scenes, especially Peter's performance. It felt so tender and real, especially when you remember Bo just got out of a years-long coma and wasn't going to be able to put up a front. You're reminded of how long these legends have populated the show when you have a 70 year old man grieving men who were almost 90 or 100, but Bo's response to Victor's death was a poignant reminder of how fresh these wounds are no matter your age. Normally these types of moments don't even make it in soap episodes in recent decades as they are seen as too boring. The more somber moments being balanced by Bo meeting his grandchildren was also lovely.  And the scene where Bo forgave Shawn may be the only time I've been in lock with Brandon Beemer's take on the part.  There's a certain element of suffocation with soaps, as shown here, when you remember so many of the kids are named after long dead relatives, or when they grew up, were paired with the kids of other longtime characters. That aspect always makes me yearn for new blood (new blood that doesn't suck, anyway), but there are other moments, like those with Bo, which make me appreciate all the history the show has.
    • A funny scene, Roger and Sonni go out to eat, at that place that had a colonial theme (I love when soaps have very specific places to eat..I hated the diners on GL, ATWT and AW) and this is just after Rog came back and Sonni hit the headlines and the waitress scremes.."Oh, Roger Thorpe, and YOUR...please dont' hurt me..." and they are all like, "Hey, were just hungry!" (most soaps now have someone go on a murder spree and the rest of the cast and extras look like they havent heard about it."
