I am not certain about the female character that Ross was discharging, but I suspect that it may have been Joanna Yeager.   Joanna was actually Stuart's wife.    She worked as a domestic for Adam and the family, but she also helped to keep Stuart's existance a secret (along with Josh).   The role was played by the late Meg Myles (The Doctors, Where the Heart Is, The Edge of Night).  She was also a singer.

That's her, thank you, a google of Meg Myles really drew me down a rabbit hole.

What was Joanna's motive for disliking Erica (beside the obvious), and what was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back that caused Ross to send her packing?

Also, any memories of Marion's fiance during the Zack mystery?

Andrew is definitely another highlight of the period.  While there's a lot of overlap between Andrew and Tad's role as town cads, which may have limited story potential for both,  Stephen Caffrey is excellent in his scenes with Jane Elliott,  They remind me of the mother/son duo in the film The Grifters with Anjelica Houston and John Cusack.  Although, I always think of his hysterical lip sync scene in Longtime Companion whenever I see him (as well as the heartbreaking ending of that film).

It's a shame they didn't keep Andrew around to fill the void after Tad left, but I guess Stephen was ready to move on. If I remember correctly, Andrew went to prison for accidentally killing Alex Hunter prior to Tad walking out on Hillary -- and at Christmas, no less. Also, Stephen was a total cutie pie in Longtime Companion. That sheepish look at about :42 gets me every time.

I believe those tiktok clips are being pulled from a YouTube Playlist that been up for years. I happen to love the actress that plays crazy Nina. She was a hoot!

Such a shame what became of Ross. I will never get over it, a true romantic lead played by charismatic actor. The show shot itself in the foot letting him go. Sexy beast!

I thought Hillary and Tad were adorable but have to agree the better storyline and maybe even the chemistry was with Dottie.

A 1972 TV by Day interview with Judith Barcroft lists her role as Anne Wingate Davis.

I have seen her listed as Anne St Cyr Maryin.

Anne was married a few times previously I believe.

Does anyone know her full name and marital history?

I am baffled about "Wingate."   I thought that Nick Davis was her second husband.    I did not watch the show during its early months and started watching it regularly in October 1971.    It think that it was specified that her first husband was British royalty.   I am sure that Phoebe certainly approved of that marriage.

I recall that the Hunter family had Canadian roots, but was it ever explained why Jeremy had a French accent but his father had none?
