See, this right here is the type of thing that makes me really sad. To see someone who is usually "hard" and "cold" have a brief pouring out of emotion. I'm not even a big ME fan, but that's the type of thing that chokes me up.

And yeah, I actually have next to zero love for ME's acting or character, but that's a great and touching quote from him.

The choice of GH clip/dialogue in that AP piece was in such poor taste you'd think Frons picked it himself.

Yeah I'mnot sure if that one can really be blamed on Frons--ending the piece that way but ROFL. Does he rea back these pieces and realize what a [!@#$%^&*] he comes off as??

Better yet...picture it. Pine Valley. 1970. Kate Martin calls up to the attic. "Bobby, you're going to be late for your trip!" Bobby comes down, a large stack of books in his hand. "Oh, Bobby, what have you been doing up there?" "I've been writing a story, Gran." The grandmother takes one of the books, looks at the cover. Yep, it says exactly what you think it says.

Fade to black.

Emma will murder Ryan & Greenlee, and Annie breaks out of the funny farm. Upon seeing Rylee's dead bodies, Annie laughs like a hyena and toasts herself in the mirror with a dirty martini.

Having lost GL and ATWT as well as Beach and AW back in the day my deepest sympathies to the fans of AMC and OLTL. I don't know enough of the ABC situation, and I could never get into the ABC soaps when I sampled them but I understand the influences they have had over all of daytime history. Amazing in a few short years we went from nine soaps to four. Certainly daytime's darkest day and perhaps the final death knell for the entire genre.

Just checked out the just-posted ratings for last week. I can't imagine how OLTL could have been canceled right now based on those ratings...AND the knowledge that Roger Howarth is returning. What idiots they are at ABC.
