Members Clear Drama
I keep asking myself would K&S be smart enough to pen Emma turning on GreenBitch or writing Tad somewhat likeable, and I keep concluding, no...so here I am praying that she was ghostwriting atleast. Members Khan
If LB is responsible at all for Erica's big summer storyline, then she's definitely tweaking - and by "tweaking," I don't mean "fixing." ;-)
Members Angela
Not that it makes a difference in terms of cancellation, as we all know, but... http://www.thepinevalleyexposer.com/2011/04/my-meeting-with-one-and-only-susan.html?spref=tw Looks like Broderick was signed to a 5 year contract. Members DRW50
It would be kind of hilarious if somehow Lorraine ended up becoming GH's headwriter.
Members Kylie
5 years? OMG. IF the show stays, she's our Guza, a "lifer" in terms of scribes. That number is just to high for me. I almost seems like a "padding" number so people look at it, go "5 years, AMC isn't getting cancelled, yay."
Members NYC123
Dam 5 contract. Good I am glad she is happy with the decision. Broderick has been very nice to Erica.
Members KMan101
I get that contracts can be broken and this by NO MEANS says AMC is safe, but why on earth would a network that's reportedly wanting to cancel two of it's soaps invest in even promising a writer a 5 year contract? I know they can always pay out her contract or dump her on GH, but still ... it just seems weird that they gave her a 5 year deal, for whatever reason. Members Jonathan
Hmm. 5 years? Actors contracts aren't even that long. That's interesting.
Members TeamEric
Actually RH/SH's peace was blown up in 1997 when Todd got Patrick shot and SH/RH's last scene is her Marty screaming he hadn't changed and was really that monster after all. Very powerful stuff so RH's Todd and Marty ended very hostile.
Members LeClerc
I agree. A year ago LB wouldn't take the HW seat if they held a gun to her head and now she's willing to sign a 5 year contract!? Only if she knows she won't have to come anywhere close to fulfilling that amount of time.
Members Cheap21
yet she was at peace enough with him to come back and help speak in his defense when Blair accused him of rape years later
Members Adam
She'll probably be taking over GH once AMC is finished... I bet you any money.
Members dragonflies
I agree, that's what I was thinking when I read that. Yeah that's what it seems like they're trying to make that point. "oh the show is safe, see LB is signed for 5 years"
Members Kylie
Some people are under the impression that she took the job because all of the sudden, Frons decided to give the Headwriter full control. I think it's more realistic that they wanted someone already there, to take the helm for however long is left, and offered LB the right amount of cash. It was either her or B&E. Five years is just really unsettling to me. I'm not exactly sure why, but I keep thinking...why so long? Why now? No one since MMT has had that long, and even then MMT was burnt out. I don't know, but I don't really like it.
Members Khan
Guys, guys...what if Susan Lucci was just talking out of her a$$ about the length of the contract and/or she got the number of years wrong?
