I think you could've put together her FB status word per word only if you wanted to.

It just became dead simple to predict this woman's reactions.

"I'm Billy's WIIIIFE! I'm not going anywhere! Hehehe!"

I doubt Sheffer is going anywhere -- his particular brand of wretched writing is so hyped and likely seen as helping the show.

Rauch, he will probably retire at some point, but they will find some figurehead to replace him.

Is it me or does MAB seem like even she does not believe what she writes in that statement. It's very CLAP LOUDER.

[DaytimeFan]You are right, she does sound like that.[/DaytimeFan]

I love it how she felt this violent need to put this out there, who knows what kind of contract she signed and what kind of a ratings clause does it have.

I wish I still cared about the state of the show to be outraged, but I just don't anymore. The show sucks, and will never change, and she's a big reason for it.

I'm through believing (if I ever believed at all) that only a Bell should be in charge of Y&R. At this point, total strangers to the family franchise would do a much better job with this show (or, at least, be more interesting in how they eff it up).

Bring on Claire Labine!

Bring on Claire Labine!

Hey, she might not be Bill Bell, or even Kay Alden, but at least she'd take care to explore characters' motivations, and not just have them behave in ways that seem plot-driven and/or arbitrary.

(But I'd much rather see Nancy Curlee get the job. ;-))

"This is the most awesome news!!!" co-executive producer/headwriter Maria Arena Bell posted on her Facebook page. "Huge vote of confidence for the show -- it's doing great! So there goes the "this business is dying" theory! Plus... I've got a new deal too!!!!!! So I'm staying with Y and R people!"

What was that comment I made when the news of the renewal broke? Something about egos, validation, and their comments not being nearly as humble as Ken Corday's were?

You're right Sylph- it is damn simple to pick out MAB's reactions.

MAB strikes me as the type of woman who wishes she was Nancy Reagan or Betsy Bloomingdale or Casey Ribicoff or Marion Jorgensen. That kind of Los Angeles socialite and civic mover and shaker.

But she's not. She's a hack soap writer with a thick waist, bad skin and an even worse attitude.

Having her remain at the helm of Y&R is a moot point, she's not doing much there as it is, all the garbage we see is courtesy of everyone else. MAB doesn't have it in her to even execute what we see onscreen. She's a placeholder.

The Emperor Has No Clothes.

Very think waist...

I think Y&R actually does pretty well will wardrobe aside from MTS who often looks like hell. Phillis, Diane, Lauren, Daniel, Victoria, Noah, Jena and Cane usually look great; however, it often looks like many of the characters share clothes.
