I think if Keith Dennison had been a played by much better actor the Dennison's probably would have stuck around longer. That and if Tricia had remained a Phyllis or Leanna Love type of crazy as opposed to Veronica Landers type of crazy.

You're right about Keith needing to be played by a much better actor. No offense to GvD but when you are unable to produce chemistry with Jess Walton it's time for a recast.

Keith should've been played by an actor like David Selby or Sam Groom.

The temp Keith was so much better. He was even kinda hot. Such a shame when they went back to GVD, who often came off really creepy to me.

He was dull as hell to me. And then, yes, he was very creepy on Port Charles, in an awful, awful story where he had sex with an amnesiac Lucy, trying to convince her that she was his dead wife, and the show tried to pass this off as romantic. It was one of several reasons I quit watching for ages.

This is just a few scenes, really - hopefully the full episode is around somewhere - but I thought people might still enjoy it.

THIS!

TempKeith was AMAZING. His chemistry with Jess Walton was off the charts. I was really disappointed when they brought back the original Keith for the Tricia story later on.

+1.

They only had a handful of scenes but he & Jess had a LOT of chemistry.

Agreed on GvD!

And just for sh|ts and giggles, here's the REAL Victoria slapping Daddy Dearest

As long as Heinle has been Victoria I can just never accept her. This clip is just one of the many reasons why.

The mid to late 90's was a weird period for Y&R. Then again, the last 20 has been. I remember them bringing back Grant Kramer as a character named Adam to be Ashley's new love interest and lab partner. That lasted about 5 minutes. Then they brought Leigh J. McCloskey on as Kurt Costner. He was originally meant to be paired with Shari Shattuck's version of Ashley, but then he hooked up with Hope and went with her when she left.

Haha...I loved that scene and remember it. Gawd how the real Victoria is sorely missed on the show.

Here are the last 2 (for now) January 1989 episodes, that haven't been posted before from me! :)

These 1989 episodes remind me of how much I miss the vintage background music that Y&R used for decades. I never understood why Y&R never did more with Brittany and Chase. Bug was sucking up air time as usual.
