The View has always been a right wing show. They continue to enable right wing viewpoints and give money and jobs to the children and wives of Republicans - these "ownings" of Meghan are literally money in the bank for her. I guess at least they've taken a break from telling us which rapist we should feel sorry for.

I suppose they were trying to find a slightly more Republican “relatable mom” to fill Sara Haines’ role, but Abby couldn’t be more of a wishy-washy, basic pageant queen.

Who knows? Sara could become available again soon. How is the talk show with Michael Strahan and Keke Palmer doing?

Not sure on GMA 3 (LOL). I haven't kept up much, maybe I'll start looking around. Can't be great if they've gone through three versions in what two years? I miss Sara on The View.

I'd rather Meghan be leaving over Abby but Abby really didn't add anything at all. Meghan just wanted her bestie to be there to defend her.

They shoulda stuck with Jed, but she's off doing good things so ...

My viewing this season has been down a lot. Meghan is just such a turn off. I don't think they'll ever dump her unless it gets truly bad so she'll have to leave on her own. I mean the girl gets The View trending. Not for good reasons, but still ... but how long can they play this game?

Re: GMA3... I've watched that painful dreck only a couple times and the only thing worth watching is Keke Palmer. They could ditch Strahan and Sara and just kick it with Keke (which would likely be their newly revamped title!)

I do think it's a difficult place to work, but she was TERRIBLE on the show. Just incredibly dull, so I feel she probably quit before she got fired at the end of the season. I could see her working better on a non-political entertainment talk show like Extra or ET. The only time she was interesting was talking at movies or pop culture things.

Long shot because she's never guested to my knowledge, but I've always wanted Eboni Williams to become a co-host. She's a black former Fox News anchor who faced lots of trouble there for being a democrat. She's so good at expressing her thoughts and would fit in perfectly here. It's always shocked me she's never at least guest hosted. If Meghan thinks Sunny and Joy get her blood boiling, I don't know what they'd do against Eboni. I feel because of her serious news background she's better at getting to the facts of the story. It pains me that we don't have one true journalist on the panel. I miss the days of Meredith and Lisa Ling.

Wait, there once was a Fox News anchor who was African-American, female AND a Democrat?  Pics, @Chris B, or it didn't happen!

Just from how you're describing Eboni, I have a feeling Meghan would cross the line with her (or a co-anchor LIKE her) and drop the "n-word" along with any remaining pretense of being unentitled.

@Khan Eboni was a weekend and fill in anchor until she got her own show called The Fox News Specialists where it was two Democrats and one republican host. It ended up canceled when the republican host was busted for sexual harassment. This segment I’m posting is the most memorable segment on the show. She got endless death threats and had to get security due to calling out racism.

The general format of the show was very similar to The View except it was two women and one man.

Well, I must admit, she presented a very powerful argument.  I'm just surprised Fox News allowed her to be that way, since they tend to neuter any liberal or left-leaning voices on their network.

    • Downloading isn't working at all.
    • I'm pretty sure this ep is  from Dec 73 From the Daytime Serial Newsletter Ian and Valerie Northcote are deeply concerned over Laurie's  life being increasingly dominated by hallucinations and fantasies about Georgina, the former owner of the house the Reddins recently bought and are now living in. Doreen Post (Linda Purl) was involved in that story .Perhaps she was going to be revealed as Georgina's daughter? Wonder how that story evolved and whether it was wrapped up before cancellation? and thanks to @skylark

    • Many thanks to @skylark and @DRW50!
    • Thank u so much! I love that show and the more I see of it the more I want to find more of it even if it’s just in script form. But that house and especially the room looked like Victoria Winters room from dark shadows lol  this was great find! Thanks
    • I genuinely thought when they said she had been throwing up, we were going to get a pregnancy story. I’m actually not convinced we aren’t. Especially the way she and Doug danced around her own infidelity.
    • Shouldn't it be the other way? I don't think Taylor Hayes is playing Rebecca Budig.

    • And the most detailed discussion I've seen from an industry figure about some of JFP's worst choices as a producer (steamrolling over writers) was from another woman, Megan McTavish.
    • IMDb is definitely incorrect, because the final week of episodes in 1974 is uploaded to Youtube in audio form, and Mark and Laurie are there until the very end. The last episode shows Mark going back to the priesthood. I looked at the newspaper and the earliest reference to their house being haunted by Georgina is in December of 1973. This is dated Dec 14, but this same synopsis ran in the papers until the end of December in other publications. So it must have been within those last 3-4 months. I think Stephanie Braxton joined around 1969-1970 so that's probably right. I saw it stated in other newspapers that David Gale joined around September 1972.
