Members dragonflies
I've got say I've never heard of him http://www.tvguide.com/News/Exclusive-Daniel-Benzali-1024208.aspx?rss=breakingnews&partnerid=popeater&profileid=breaking The much-acclaimed actor Daniel Benzali (Jericho, Murder One, NYPD Blue) is heading to General Hospital to play the role of patient Theo Hoffman. First seen December 6, the character will be admitted to the hospital and develop a friendship with troubled heroine Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough). But an ABC rep tells us "there is more to Theo than meets the eye." In recent months, GH has hired many film and primetime notables (James Franco, Bruce Davison, Adrienne Barbeau, Michael Learned) to add luster to its roster of regulars. In fact, the ABC soap seems to be in a neck-and-neck race with CBS'sThe Young and the Restless (David Hasselhoff, Sean Young, Eric Roberts, Michael Badalucco) over who can score the most big names. The star wars continue!
Members Cheap21
I have no opinion on this. Okay I guess
Members Y&RWorldTurner
This hire a guest star to play a patient just so we can have a token hospital story is getting really lame...
Members OLTL_fan
Isnt this show getting a little crowded?

Members RoseVioletDaisy
He's a wonderful actor. Just PLEASE don't have him tied to the mob.
Members DRW50
I notice they don't mention both shows have DROPPED during this stunt casting. And most of these people have either never been "stars" or have not been stars in 20-30 years. Benzali is a good actor but to hype him as a "star" is strange. I remember him mostly because of all the hype surrounding Murder One, and how brilliant he was and the show was and endless time the press spent patting them on the back. Then the ratings tanked and he ended up being fired.
Members AllMyDaysatGH
This is basically like when Michael Learned joined the show a few months ago as a patient at GH who befriended Liz. Sounds like the same thing will happen to Robin now. Sounds boring to me but ok...
Members Ann_SS
I agree that he is a good actor so no doubt that Guza will waste him.
Members quartermainefan
wow, if memory serves, Teddy Hoffman was the name of his character on the great for one season MURDER ONE. I hope he comes to solve a murder or defend Robin when she is falsely accused or something.
Members Mr. Vixen
Cool to me. Michael Learneds storyline was one of my favorites. Hope this is good. Love my Robin

Members Cheap21
I bet he has AIDS, hence Robin will have no reason but be compelled to stand by his side.

Members Vee
If primetime won't take you, make the dregs of primetime come to you decades after the fact and then write like you have the same budget. The Guza philosophy.
