Weirdly, I inquired about her a few weeks ago in the B&B classic thread. Did she leave B&B voluntarily? I thought she was great as Felicia until they asked her to play confrontation scenes opposite Bobbie Eakes (as rivals in a love triangle) and all those scenes fell flat.

Can someone explain to me...if the legacy characters of Lucy, Bryant, Katie, etc. are so disliked, not to mention Craig and Dani upon return...why is there an expectation that with the same writers and casting directors, the quads would be liked any better?

ATWT's Vaughn: Love and Dloom

What prompted Robert Vaughn—Oscar nominee and prime-time giant—to join As the World Turns? “The schedule, the money, and Claire Bloom," reports the former Man from U.N.C.L.E. “The show agreed to shoot around my other projects [like ABC's remake of "Escape to Witch Mountain" on April 29]. The pay just about covers my children's private-school education. And they plan a romance for me and Claire—and I love Claire." The pair played Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wilson in the 1979 miniseries Backstairs at the White House, but their suds characters aren't quite so lofty: Vaughn plays an egomaniacal lawyer, and Bloom a Lady Macbeth like murderess. We can’t wait for this wicked pairing to kick in, but Vaughn has no immediate plans to watch. “Frankly,” he says, “I haven't seen [ATWT] yet and probably won't anytime soon—it's on at the same time as O.J.

Too bad they couldn't get Robert Vaughn to join when his former co-star, David McCallum, was on as that Maurice Vermeil character, lol.

A shame Bloom was pretty much done by the time he began. ATWT should have done whatever they could to keep her.

ATWT had so much promise in the early months of 1995 before all the hacks came in.

It also shows that there was no reason not to try. Every single thing involving Bryant was a flop (and I didn't think his death was any great shakes either as I mainly remember it for Hunt Block trying to cry), no matter who he was related to.

Another episode I don't think has been up before.

Scott DeFrietas was so handsome by this point - still bizarre to me he was let go for not being "hot" enough. Then again, this show's idea of hotness by that point tended to be softcore performers.

A long time ago there was a fic that had Andy, after leaving Oakdale in 1995, in a relationship with Hank Elliot. Andy being gay, or bi, would make sense to me, as otherwise I have no idea why in the hell he'd ever want to hang around Mike Kasnoff.

It's great hearing from you and seeing you post again.

I'm doing okay. I've been really busy. I haven't watched many soap operas lately. Life has been rough for me as of late. Some things are improving slowly.

Hope you've been doing well.
