Members Vee
Per a spot of Googling, she apparently visited the facility late last year as a 'celebrity guest'. She was walking with a cane but looked about the same as she did on the Locher Room. It made local press, which I doubt it would have done if she was visiting as a potential inpatient with dementia. (Frankly I'm also not convinced she would've done two of those shows in the last year if dementia or Alzheimer's were an issue; I was always under the impression it begins appearing much earlier than Hays' age) If it's true it's a tragedy but either way I hope she's living comfortably. On a brighter note, bc I'm ignorant I had no idea until recently that Irna had done the 'heroic other woman' story at least twice - once with Kim but also with Edith Hughes. That was news to me and no one else, I'm sure. Is any of Edith still around online?

Members DramatistDreamer
This episode is a joyride. The cat and mouse between Craig and Lucinda, Craig's taunting and Lucinda's triumphant expression when she calls his bluff and realizes she's guessed right and Craig's reaction when he realizes this, is a dynamic that writers just couldn't get right in the later iterations of Craig. Add his skulking around Sierra (I could've sworn I saw Finn trying to stifle a surreptitious urge to laugh when she and Scott suddenly face each other in the corner). The blocking in this scene is impeccable with Craig practically becoming an immovable object that Sierra can't avoid and Tonio fuming. Margo's scenes with Shannon and Harriet are hilarious. Hillary Bailey Smith's facial expressions add even more hilarity. I wonder if they were all able to get through that in one take, or at least without bursting into complete laughter. https://youtu.be/rE109Qu7HQM
Members j swift
In hindsight, as much as I am charmed by Finn, she seems poorly cast in the role of Sierra. Not only was she anglicized in role as the daughter of Latin American revolutionary, but she also lacked the sex appeal to be in a believable triangle with Emily Stewart and Tonio. The haircut was iconic, but it strained credulity that Tonio would be torn between her and Emily based on appearance. She could have been the step-child of Martin Guest, or Lucinda's niece, and the story would have played out the same way with Craig. One hopes that in the current culture an audience would be a bit more vocal about the casting of women from Latin American as played by Finn Carter, Cali Timmons, or Kristina Wagner
Members Vee
I think Finn is actually great, but until recently I'd never seen her in anything other than Tremors which I've loved for decades so I'm a bit biased. Obviously that casting would never fly today, but I do think she's great with everyone involved.

Members lilyredd
That was a fun episode. I loved Craig and Lucinda back in the day and still think they should have continued their affair. I enjoyed Finn Carter as Sierra and found her very believable as Lucinda’s daughter. I thought she was a killjoy when she made appearances in the early 90s, however. As to her casting, the issue is real. Perhaps an argument could be made her father was of Spanish ancestry. I don’t think the father was a revolutionary, he was one of the leaders and an aristocrat- just like Tonio’s family. Members DramatistDreamer
It was really a ONS. Lucinda explained that they knew each other before they had met her. Later she explained to John that they sought comfort in each other's arms because of grief. Personally, I think they worked much better as antagonists, that's where the heat came from. Marland was smart not to revisit this, imo. Today's soaps show no such restraint and continue to beat old story threads to death. A mistake. The only issue is her Southern accent afaic, There are people who look just Sierra in any Central and Latin America with the influx of Germans in the post WWII period (ahem, we all know why) and their German descendants stayed. Telenovelas are full to the brim with actors/characters who look like Finn and they were born and raised in countries like Mexico, Argentina and Perú and their roots are nowhere near the Iberian peninsula, lol. Finn returned in 94 after Marland's death, and the entire show seemed funereal at that time. When did she return before that? I thought her only previous return was in '89 when she helped usher Scott off the canvas, when he wanted to leave again. Boynton's casting wouldn't fly either with that quasi-"Scarface" accent. The only person who would be allowed to stay would be Karina Arroyave. Uh, when was Sierra ever in a triangle with Emily and Tonio?? Members lilyredd
She may have returned the same year or into 95 - she came on the show to demonstrate their marriage in trouble then to escort Craig back to Montega and/or Miami. I thought Carter and Bryce had lost their spark. The 90s were such a morose affair on this show to me. I loved Karina Arroyave. She shows flashes of Lucinda even in her too few scenes on the show.
Members DramatistDreamer
Her last appearance was definitely in '94 and I am dubious about wiki entries claiming she appeared in 91. 94 was a depressing year altogether, the entire cast looked like they were in mourning. Sierra never had much of a storyline after '87 when Tonio took over Craig's business. All she did was function as a sounding board for Lily and Lucinda's angst. After that, she only had brief appearances to collect Craig when Scott wanted to leave the show (which was often). I don't know how much spark can be expected or generated from a such brief appearances on the back of other people's storylines (they weren't going to give her too much to do since she was only there for a brief stay). OTOH, I thought it was nice that she agreed to come on to help usher Bryce off the canvas whenever he wanted to go, lol.
