Such a damn shame....realistically I know it won't happen but I do pray another network rescues the show snd a strong creative writer takes over.....

Complete waste of Josh Henderson, the girl who plays Rebeccca, and the Dallas legacy in general....

I only watching a few episodes here and there, but there was absolutely no pizzazz to this show. It was the epitome of generic, half-assed, and sterile writing and performances. I don't think anyone that wasn't from the original cast appealed to me.

I only watched a few episodes from each season, but this show just NEVER gelled.

That was my problem with this show. I'm surprised it last as long as it did. I do have to laugh at those calling this the best show on television. It wasn't even the best show on TNT.

Perhaps TNT might do a movie/miniseries to wrap up all the storylines. At least this way Dallas will go out properly concluded.

Truth be told, the show wasn't really the same after Larry Hagman passed away.

Truth be told, Dallas hasn't been the same since Jim Davis died! Completely off topic, but I truly feel Dallas lost a lot of its uniqueness with JD died, and all the Texasness got scrubbed clean. This Dallas they didn't really even really have accents much. I will miss it though, because it was great to see Bobby Ewing again. I do think the show got Bobby right, if not much else.

Jim Davis' death was a huge blow to Dallas, but his death also led to the two best seasons the show ever had. That's the type of tribute Larry Hagman deserved, which cemented Jock's importance in the fabric of the show AND propelled future story for years to come.

And there’s possibly interest at CBS for the drama that they put on air in the 1970s, and the show to this day that CBS is still celebrating a lot of revenue, as “Dallas” the original series still airs all over the world.

Cynthia Cidre had her shot at Dallas on CBS, it was called Cane and it sucked!!

Funny how I recall that title but don't remember the show. There are rumors that they are pitching the show to CMT and WGN...besides CBS back on Friday night...

It was basically Dallas, but about a wealthy sugar cane family. Rita Moreno was Miss Ellie. It was wholly forgettable.

I looooved Cane but they didn't know what they were doing with it. Gone too soon but alas I one out would after the first episode.

LMAO! I really wanted that show to work because primetime soap opera but it was so boring. Thus I knew DALLAS didn't stand much of a chance with the same showrunner. Only thing I kinda liked on CANE was that implied incestuous relationship between uncle and niece (which I thought was rather daring for a network show a few years back)? Or something. Who knows, I forgot!
