It's amazing to me how you think it's a compliment. Again I know what JR does, do I agree with it most of the times? NO! I don't give flying F*%@# what he is full of, Scott is no better now. HE STOLE FROM A DEAD PERSON! HE WENT BEHIND JR'S BACK TO GET CALEB TO CHASE JR INSTEAD OF HIM! What family does that!? Srsly does he give a F$#$@% about JR? No he doesn't, otherwise he wouldn't have gone behind his back. Not rationizing JR, but you seem to be taking out the sniper rifle on him and excuse everything for Scott b/c he's the "GOOD" one. GMAFB and cry me a F^#&#$#$ing river w/ that one. Speaking of rivers that's where Scott belongs, b/c he has proven to be nothing but a RAT.

I'm sorry if I'm misunderstanding you, but it's coming off like a compliment to me because of the way you're saying it. "Well, at least JR..." implies to me that you're saying that JR and Scott are on an even playing field (they're not), but JR has a leg up in the integrity department because he's aware of his assholeness.

I'm not excusing Scott, I just don't get why there's such an intense hate for him. The only person on the show who is defending him is Annie, and for obvious reasons, so it's not as if everyone is running around town propping him up.

Oh dear,it's getting hostile again. It's a good thing tomorrow is Brendakkah. We can all take the day and breathe in the light of Brenda. Her spirit will guide us to a brighter Wednesday. I plan to tell all the neighborhood children stories of Brenda.

You should be. I never said that. We aren't making this a who's worse than who contest, just calling it like we see it.

Because he's the good one doing stupid sh!t, you don't get it? Only person defending him? Colby basically took out the F*CKING pom poms the other day! and then there was Binxs, And then Flannelicious was telling me how he's the most amazing man etc.. who else did I forget? I'm sure someone else propped him. I just can't remember right now.

    • I assume in name only?  One Stormy Night wasn't exactly steamy.  If it's a literal throwback then Stephanie's writing about sexy times her own Uncle was having lol. Since I am going to surmise it's just a throwback to the name, Night Sins and Winter Heat both sound sexier.  Just saying.  I swear Jamey (and Ron) just google things and land on the first thing they like and decide it's a good throwback to history without watching it.
    • I usually don't want Tide placement in the middle of an intense sad scene, but this is an interesting point

    • Thanks!   Was anyone watching during this time? Wondering how Peggy’s rape played out onscreen. It just seems cruel to subject the Brooks family to this trauma a 2nd time.   Feels like the writers have already given up on the character of Jennifer, even though she sticks around another year-plus. She should be a passionate and fierce protective mother, but instead she seems just reactionary (and not even mentioned in this recap) This was also the case in ‘73 when Chris was raped. The writers are definitely more invested Stuart as the Brooks parent.
    • BTG got another SNL reference at 00:50  CONTEXT (so it isn't misconstrued) in this joke swap segment, Michael Che frequently makes his white cohost Colin Jost read racist jokes written by Che.

    • It's obvious that Israel's presence is a major divisive issue, and this is something that the EBU needs to deal with. According to the now published results Israel got 13 out of a possible 19 max points in the semi-final, and while their song isn't bad there's no way they would get those numbers without some kind of manipulation/political voting. They are clearly using this contest as a way of improving their somewhat tarnished reputation. I know that some people are comparing this to the massive sympathy votes that Ukraine gets and which propelled them to victory in 2022, but I feel that that was a more genuine show of support than this concerted effort from Israel to influence the televoting. I even had an ad on Youtube from Israel in Swedish(!) asking for votes! It might not be against any rules, but it feels a bit icky nonetheless.
    • Yeah, as you wrote, an Israeli win would have been a political disaster. Congratulations to Austria. 0 points from the televoting to Switzerland was a disgrace. Other than that, I really enjoyed the show ... but I'm also glad that Eurovision season is over

    • Hahaha Sorry if I was too negative, I just started typing and typing once I got going hahaha
    • @dc11786 Thanks for taking time to answer my various questions, along with giving your thoughts on the different writing teams. I wonder why they didn't just have Ryder and TR leave together if Jane was going anyway. The discussions over the last few pages have made me more interested in watching these episodes than I have been over the years - without the extra details and analyses provided, these years can be difficult to decipher (not helped by how often Jo seems like a side character).
