First of all, OldSchoolSoapFan, why target me with your remarks, insinuating that I'm somehow being hypocritical when it comes to antiheroic characters on soaps and/or certain fans' attitude toward criminal and deviant behavior (whether from actors, off-screen; or from characters, on)?

I find it very interesting you're crying foul about harrassment when you should consider this: when Tony Geary was at the height of his popularity as Luke Spencer (GH), from what I had read over the years there were some chicks with signs reading "Rape Me!" when he was making personal appearances.

So?

Also, Geary was the toast of college campuses at the same time.

Again, so?

Considering how Luke started out as a malevolent figure and burst into the stratosphere when he raped Laura at the disco, apparently the mindset of the public was a hell of a lot different in the late '70s and early '80s than it is today.

No, it isn't. Then, like now, you have soap fans - not all soap fans, not the majority, but enough to make a sad impression - who equate "rape" with "seduction," and sexual harassment with harmless teasing.

Also, for the record, the Luke/Laura "romance"? HAAAAAAAATE.

BTW, just saw a pic of RKK. Cute. I'd let him fondle me.

See what I mean?

If you have a personal issue w/ me, pal, just say so. Quit attempting to bait me into some kind of flame war, when I don't know you from Adam (Newman or otherwise).

Damn, why I can't a get a job with handsy guys like him groping me all the time? Some bitches get all the luck, and they don't appreciate it! I'd have rode RKK into the sunset!

Sexual harassment and sexual assault are not matters to be taken lightly. Firstly, they are disgusting, degrading acts. Secondly, they are criminal acts.

Thank you. No one wants to be grabbed against their will. It doesn't matter if the person doing the grabbing is attractive or not. The point is these people are put in a position where they aren't free to say "no" to unwanted advances without consequences.

I wonder if all the people here who are having a cow over what I wrote would feel the same way if the acts were done between two people of the same sex.

As a gay man who has been sexually harrassed in the work place by another man, your comments really disgust me. It's not fun, enjoyable, or sexy, regardless of age, sex, sexual orientation, race, etc. Honestly, you should prob just quit before you dig yourself any deeper.

Be careful. The troll will accuse you of spewing rhetoric from your liberal college professors!

I hated RKK. I was so glad they hired Daniel Markel. And then he quit or got let go within a couple of months. (Anyone know why?)

There isn't much deeper you can dig, though, when you live under a rock.
