Chosen fan?

Nope. I'm just as anguished as @Vee was to learn that Ben [!@#$%^&*] Gavin once auditioned for Y&R's Adam. (Also known as, the Most Un-Castable Role in Daytime History, lol).

She could have been a decent Michelle recast at that time - she might have had less of a generic feel than Budig.

I think Budig did great, but Hendrickson definitely would have been a more natural predecessor to Bethany Joy Lenz. But on the flip, Lenz's take on Michelle probably wouldn't have been that much of a reset as it was from Budig.

I disagree. I think we've had, what, four Adams? And none of 'em have turned in what I would call a definitive performance. (Not even Justin Hartley, who, IMO, came the closest). All these years later, and I still wonder why this show doesn't just kill him off, along with the rest of Victor's offspring.

I put that more on the writing, and the show's inability to write compelling relationships for Victor and his children. I don't think anything with that family has worked since the mid '90s.

The only Adam that has worked for me was Michael Muhney. Mark Grossman comes close in second, though.
