Hehe...you will know exactly what I mean when you get to it. ;) Trust. Oh, very complex...and sci-fact as the writers really and truly did their research, but the series/book started as a role-playing game. Well Sci-Fi was going to Sci-Fi anyway. Right when THE EXPANSE was getting buzzed in its third season. Thankfully, Bozos was a major fan and in charge of Amazon then so he surprised the cast and everyone else in the world by saving it outright and at a convention in front of the world from what I remember.
Oh, God yes. You are at Season 3 so I can say that I love, love, LOVE the trio of Chrisjen, Bobbie, and Spy Guy. Easily some of my all-time favorite moments was those three and it showed with me and my friend who wanted me to watch the show from the start (I stumbled into it at the start of Season 2, but she said nope...lol. Go back).
