Thanks for tagging me in that, Brandon. I'm looking forward to BH, but I'll miss my Queens, Brandi and Kim.

As for ATL, I just rematched the ending and if you'll notice, Cynthia CLEARLY grabs Porsha's hands while both women are still seated, which is what caused Porsha to stand. Cynthia initiated the physicality in that confrontation.

Well, I appreciate you having another look. I guess I'll have to have another watch myself. From what I recall, they were both doing the finger-pointing/pushing fingers away thing, but then Porsha stood up and put her knee down towards Cynthia, and that's the point when the confrontation became really physical for me.

My opinion is this:

Cynthia was drunk and belligerent and overreacting, taking out anger she has for other people, on Porsha. Porsha was, clearly, genuinely confused about why Cynthia blew up, as was everyone else. It was clear that what really set Cynthia off was Kandi's "best friend" comment because Cynthia has the reputation of snuggling up to whoever the "Queen" of RHOA is deemed to be. And Porsha did, in fact, let Cynthia walk away. However, the other ladies, Kenya included, ALL urged her to follow Cynthia and talk to her. Porsha went over there with good intentions and, once again, Cynthia popped off at the mouth for no reason. Should Porsha have walked away? Probably, because it wasn't worth it. Was Porsha some huge, hulking, dangerous dominatrix because she stood up when Cynthia was in her face? No. Y'all are really reaching with this knee thing. Porsha stood, obviously her leg was going to bend and go over the chair. She wasn't kneeing Cynthia in the face or anywhere else. Should she have stood over the chair? Probably not. Does her doing so justify Cynthia drop kicking her, despite being "so against violence"? Absolutely not.

Something I said as well...it's obvious the drama in Cynthia's marriage and the drinking had made her sensitive. Ford definitely appeared genuine in her confusion to me as well. Maybe I just need a re-watch as well. I thought the girls and her own heart was in the right place...just wrong time.

BH

I happen to like Lips's tagline and how she said it as well.

Same for Erika's. It's in the way she said it.

It was pretty obvious that David Foster only cares about one person. David Foster. Yolanduh probably thought if she loved him more then he loves himself then he wouldn't leave her.  Now who's accomishments will she covet as her own when she tries to look down upon the Vanderpump-Todd's?

"Like my husband would hang out with the likes of you?"

Like you thought he'd stay married to the likes of you.

What I find sketchy and low-class that he supposedly moved them into a WAY smaller home months previous. This was planned. David didn't want Yolanda making off good with a multi-million dollar home, which she'd most likely walk away with.

Betcha he studied Kelsey Grammar's playbook but won't have lose as much.

I agree that he probably has a new, young side piece in the wings. Knowing his ass, he's probably already living with her in a lavish home in Beverly Hills.

Well, she set up her King and her marriage on a pedestal and now it comes crashing down on her. I feel bad for her because everybody is laughing at her (not him) about this. Either they knew they were going to divorce when they put the house on the market and agreed to wait it out until after filming before releasing a statement. Or he sold the house so she wouldn't get the proceeds and then blindsided her with the "It's not you, it's me" talk. Either way, this is not going to be her season on BH. She is better off without his pompous ass tbh.

    • I actually thought he came off as younger. It's so hard to buy Martin as Nicole and Ted's son unless they had him when they were 12.
    • @chrisml Isn't remarkable that, on a soap whose brand is built on twists and mysteries, that Raven's last straw was as simple as Logan saying that she was incapable of loving Jamey.  In the episode when Raven exit's and leaves Jamey with April, I can remember feeling the subtext that Raven is also trying to talk herself into leaving him behind.  There's so much in that little scene.  She's trying to stick it to Logan for saying she was a bad mother.  She's both granting April's wish, and damning her with the old adage of being careful what she wished for.  And, she's hinting to Draper that she's going to boff his father. It remains my favorite scene, and it still blows my mind that was not the end of that episode.
    • Oh lord not Drew just figured out it was both Nina and Portia that set him up. Willow WILL never leave this man.
    • And in addition to Patti being de-aged, she was no longer a nurse, divorced from Len(fair enough) and her two children were not seen and barely mentioned. So basically she was a totally new character. For newer viewers it didn't matter but any loyal viewers would have been wondering about all the changes with Patti. Sarah Whiting always puzzled me. The writers finally decide to acknowledge Jo's family and do so by making up a never mentioned adopted teen. Why not just bring in Tracey, Jo's actual grandaughter? As for Liza, perhaps it would have been wise to rest the character when Sherry left. They were big shoes to fill and her Liza was so identified with Travis. I don't recall what was going on in the story at that time but if they knew Sherry was leaving, write it so Liza would leave town to care for an ailing Janet and take a breather with the character for a few months.
    • Ahh interesting. Yeah, that's sad for A-M. I will say, he and Nick became fast friends when Susan started working at Spaulding. A-M/Lucy/Nick/Susan had a lot of double dates in those 7 months. A-M was Nick's best man at his wedding to Susan, which now that I think about it, is odd that he wouldn't have considered Fletcher. I remember those two were so close at the paper, and even living together with Ben. Once Tangie left SF, Nick left the paper, and Fletcher/Holly were rarely seen... so I guess they felt that friendship wasn't shown often enough anymore (which again, lazy writing).
    • I honestly don't think Alan-Michael ever really had a friend on the show. Maybe Cameron or Samantha, but otherwise... *Cameron was a high school friend who ended up dating teenage Dinah after she broke up with A-M. Samantha is Phillip's biological sister, who A-M treated like a sister. Interestingly enough, they were born the same week on the show in 1981, but A-M ends up being older than her when she returns to town in '89.
    • I thought he was very cute too, and a likeable presence even though on paper Cliff was a prick. I wonder if he was well-liked by viewers or someone at the show as there's a point in these episodes where he could have been written out and was not.
    • I'm not a Derek fan at all (and not even all that much of an Ashley fan, but man has she become awful in their relationship--like she's not even trying.  But also I admit, I don't think I'd ever live with someone, even someone I was married to (I know they're not married) in a bachelor apartment unless I had to.  Even just a one bedroom would make a big difference.  I'd probably end up hiding in the bathroom a lot

    • Going back to this, I'm even more confused why Amanda would say that only a year later (lazy writers), because I'm watching April 29, 1996 right now and literally all of the current on-air Spauldings (Alan, Alex, Amanda, A-M) and Coopers (Buzz, Lucy, Frank, Eleni) are on a plane together for Lucy/A-M's wedding. Along with Reva (which right now makes sense because she's married to Buzz), Dahlia (so out of place, but by default because they can't let a high school kid they just took in stay home alone), and a very random Rick (he's barely had any interaction with any of these characters all year haha).  It's like a madhouse on that plane, which is pretty comical because most of them don't get along... but they very much know each other. Still miffed that Bridget is totally forgotten here. And David. And Nick/Susan! Couldn't they have waited to fire them until after this wedding?  It was only like 2 months later. They had to make Alan be A-M's best man (which is wild to me) bc A-M doesn't even have any real friends on the show right now.
    • You're right and I do imagine many longtime viewers were put off. I suppose the show felt many of the longtime fans were gone, so in that sense I get it if the show had continued. They should have taken greater care with the generation below Patti. It's hard to remember she was meant to be mother to Sarah. I wonder if that is one of the reasons they killed Sarah before Patti arrived. Or were those different teams?
