When Bethenny visited BH...did she and Camille interact?  That would have been interesting to see because Camille usually keeps her cool and can shade with backhanded ability like no one else...and make Bethenny look like a lunatic.  Yet Bethenny can jab throw a mile a second.

So sad about Bobby Zarin, who seemed like a very gentle, but straight shooting, kind man. He was a very good stepfather to Jill's daughter and was obviously devoted Jill, as she was to him. I hope it was a merciful release and that Jill can take comfort in a lifetime of memories with him.

Sorry to hear about Bobby Zarin. Out of all the RH husbands, he was the most level-headed and a gentleman to the last, never losing his temper or respect for the others, no matter how toxic things got. He obviously thought that Jill hung the sun, moon and stars, and she thought the world of him. I hope she is surrounded by family and friends right now. His loss will be huge for her.

Kim is a foul, nasty b-tch. If anything, this season is a blessing for Nene and Kandi, who stayed sacrificing themselves at the altar of Wigs & Newports. Now they truly see that she ain't sh-t.

I can't wait for the reunion b/c they are gonna drag the sh-t out of Kim. She's been asking for it.

Also, kudos to Mbele the psychic for dragging Kim tonight too. This episode exemplified what I've been saying about her since s1e01--Kim is a guttersnipe with no loyalty at all.

Nene added her 2 cents into the Kandi v. Kim argument.

Kim has been a disgrace this season. It doesn’t feel authentic or like her at all. I wonder if the rumors of the new EP being her friend are true. Even then, he isn’t doing her any favors. She’s literally ruining any chance of being asked back because she is so unbearable to work with. She’s not even hitting with facts which is what kills me. She’s throwing out whatever she can and just attacking everybody which is a bad look.

Kenya continues to come off very well this season in her more supporting role. I like when the ladies take turns being at the center of drama so it’s refreshing not to see her as the focal point to everything.

Sheree completely lost me by not telling Nene what Brielle did. She asks brand new when Nene is cautious around her and stuff like that is why. I hate we will have a repeat of last season where Nene will likely wait weeks to find out about that.

Last thing, still no sign of Eva? So bizarre to me. Also, Andy tweeted in response to a fan that it does make sense that Marlo appear on WWHL to give her side of things based on her tenure with the show. I hope that happens for my girl.

I am curious the factors that determine who gets to be a housewife and who gets to be supporting?  Is it the same on all the franchise's, or does it vary based on the show?

For instance, I've always believed if you couldn't film all aspects of your life (by choice, or due to an ex)..that should automatically make you a friend of..no matter how much drama you bring.  So t amra on OC and Brandi on BH shouldn't habe been full time housewives for that reason..especially Brandi (who never brought anything to the table except conflict...and Rinna kind of does that well in a more frustrating way lol).

Cynthia keeps her peach because every show needs a 'boring' one...and she brings it fashion and hair wise.

With that said, Kim should have done what Sheree did during her driend of season...been the Greek chorus and not make too many waves...cause she got her peach back the next season.  Jim had to be careful..her spinoff won't last forever...and if she pissed off Nene, Kandi, and kenya...good luck getting that peach back.

    • Perhaps. But would anyone have wanted The Doctors to turn into what General Hospital ultimately became?  Dear God in Heaven...
    • Thanks @EricMontreal22 that must be one of the last issues. Probably the best soap magazine.
    • I can definitely see that airing the same week as The Love Boat colliding with an iceberg and sinking while crossing the North Atlantic on the Titanic anniversary with a “Who lives and dies?!” Promo next to Mr Belvedere being blackmailed over his wanted fugitive status back in the UK

Agree with you both. I am also going assume that while Hotel may had some big numbers the first 2 seasons BUT the demographics weren’t great. Reason I say this is I distinctly remember my parents watching St Elsewhere and/or The Equalizer after Dynasty.    I still don’t get Hotel’s designation as a primetime soap opera either lol. ABC should have aired Paper Dolls in the 10/9 slot on Wednesdays in the fall of 1984 to give that show some more legs.    Obviously ABC was eyeing a double bill night in the same vein as Dallas & Falcon Crest and that might have worked better than leaving Paper Dolls to the wolves in an untested timeslot.
    • I tend to stay out of EP discussions, simply because I rarely know who EPs when. And they all have their good and bad sides. But how are we supposed to judge JFP on anything other than what we see? I didn't know she was a director or a music director. (and unlike say, Chris Goutman, I never saw her credited as anything other than an EP) Specifically in the matter of casting Crampton, she took credit for it (or at Crampton gave her credit for it, whatever) and it was arguably, one of the worst recasts of the '90's (and either as bad or worse than the actress she fired).  She lost two important actresses in '92 and still decided to kill Maureen.  She had a wildly uneven tenure at GL. It's no wonder she's polarizing. But it kind of proves a point--great soap is always a that rare combination of everything clicking at the same time.  And believe me, if I could bring myself to watch her male successors who were responsible for bringing back Reva and allowing her to eat the show again, or hiring Hunt Block, or being too chicken to stand up to stans who and hamstrung the show with boring couples stuck in the same repetitive stories (Vanessa/Matt, Chelle/Danny or Richard/Cassie, take your pick) not to mention San CristoHELL....I'd be more than happy to roast them on open spits. I guess we end up talking about JFP because she's in a period we can nominally agree was one of the last "best" periods of the show.
    • A degree does not make one an expert at their job, it just shows that you can follow directions from a technical standpoint.  It doesn't mean that they're creative. JFP was all about the look of a show without considering that technical beauty can only carry a show so far if there is nothing interesting to go along with it.  Equality means calling out flaws equally in both genders.
    • NBC or P&G was even fool enough to take a full page ad for two consecutive weeks in TV Guide promoting this horrible storyline.

    • JFP has had more defense for her decades of terrible producing than many male producers ever had.
    • It makes sense that she got a degree in directing. I've always said she should have been a director. I think she works better at the technical aspects of the show. I think her problem is the emotion/heart of a show.  She always guts the heart of the show she's on and she makes decisions that stop longtime viewers from watching a show. I don't think it's sexism to call that out especially as I've said similar things about Conboy. I've called out Rauch for much worse.
    • "Aunt Blanche" first appears toward the end of this episode, about 57 minutes in.
