That is the perfect description for that sweaty pig.

Onto RHOA, I'm excited to see how next season is. I hope the rumors of the season 5 cast returning are false. I still say that was the worst season so far. Porsha is just too basic and irrelevant to these girls and Kenya was acting, which this show doesn't need. Because Kenya is so fake, she'll never be able to form interesting enough relationships with these women to develop interesting storylines. She's going to have to keep acting crazy in order to remain relevant and I don't want to see that.

There are rumors of a new housewife being added, but I need them to get some common sense and make Marlo a full-time cast member. With her being back on I Dream of Nene, there is no excuse. They know Marlo is perfection and they need to give her the spot she earned in season 4. If Kim and Sheree are going to be gone, you need to replace them with stars, because as ratchet as they may have been, they were stars for this show. Sheree provided tons of entertainment the entire time she was on the show. She has a strong relationship with everyone and her rivalry with Nene was must see tv since episode one. Same for Kim.

I don't want to sit through another boring ass season with Kandi, Nene and Cynthia doing nothing either. They better get in line.

^Really though, I think that's happening on all these RH shows. About half of the coordinated dinners or meetings are staged - production has to get permission from the restaurant owners to film in their restaurants, and the coordinate the timing with the ladies and the whole thing is just set up. However, I don't think the dialogue is fake - I think that all comes out on their own without scripts.

Ouch to NJ's latest ratings... this episode pulled in just barely over 2 million viewers. They haven't pulled low numbers like this in a long time. They do have highly rated repeats though after WWHL - so I guess that's still a good sign for Bravo.

They did start to get these type of numbers during the middle of boring Season 4, but I suspect they will drop below 2 million viewers very soon which is a place they havent been since Season 1. This show is getting repetitive. The Season 4 reunion was clearly the end of the road for the current ladies. Where else can you go from here? I am thinking whether they reconcile or not the rest of the season will be ho-hum and the reunion will be boring. None of these women have anything going on. *yawns*

If they were intent on keeping this cast they should have brought on at least 2 of Teresa's friends to shake things up. And no I am not talking about Kim D and her shriveled up coochie. I can't stand that thirsty trick!

2 women with interesting lives and who would be able to read the other 4 women because unfortunately Teresa can't do it right :(

LOL you would think Kathy was the star of NJ the way some cant go a day without discussing her LOL! I think Kathy has been on screen a total of 10 minutes of the new season so she cant be blamed on the sagging ratings. If Andy wanted to add another women to the NJ cats he could and keep the 5 women, its done on all the other RH shows, so dont be blaming Kathy LOL! Perhaps the ratings are low because the show sucks arse and the so called main star is unrootable and unlikeable and yeah that would be Tre!

    • You're probably right. They may have just wanted edits of certain characters. Hopefully the rest is around.
    • Of course!

I'm wondering if there were bits cut from this footage, because to me it seems that may be the case. At 11:23, Laurie tells her psychiatrist that the bar phoned and told her Mark got into a fight and needs to be picked up. It starts to fade to the next scene, you hear some different music begin and get cut off between the static, and where you'd expect to see the aftermath of the fight, we cut back to a later scene of Laurie in bed worrying about what's happening. The credits at the end also show that more than Mark, Laurie and Dr. Northcote should have been in this episode. Another character, Brody, played by Ed Setrakian, is mentioned but not shown. If this is the case, perhaps the original fan who saved this episode has the additional scenes.
    • Anyway… It’s a shame that the video that depicted Leticia’s death was removed from YT.

I've never seen a trainwreck like this in my entire life. 5 pencils and 3 dolls?!!!!!!!!!!! (this little moment starts close to the 7th minute) WOW. THIS IS HAPPENING IN AMERICA?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    • Ms. Phelps holds a BFA in directing from Carnegie Mellon University, awarded in 1972. At a time when women were underrepresented in directing programs, she was one of the few women in her graduating class. To suggest that she possessed no further talents than completely changing the style of music used on soaps seems like a vast underestimate when one reads her online biography through an objective lens. I guess that I should be more clever than to constantly blame misogyny for these misguided interpretations of her management style.  But, I'll never comprehend why fans unquestionably align their opinions even years after fact. Post-modernism, and the ability to reinterpret context through the study of history, seems to elude this conversation.

    • This is 100% correct.  It was even on the nightly news where the US Government would not let the cast and crew travel to Egypt because it was deemed not safe.  The Achille Lauro hijacking took place on October 7, 1985, when the Italian ocean liner MS Achille Lauro was hijacked by four men representing the Palestine Liberation Front off the coast of Egypt, as she was sailing from Alexandria to Ashdod, Israel. The location shoot was probably scheduled to be filmed in mid-October to air throughout November with a two week tape to air date.  Remember on the show they did some in studio scenes doubling for Egypt before shifting the action to Arizona.  It was an awkward end to a truly bizarre storyline.

New episode from late 1973 or early 1974!
    • Coronation Street had a very good story where one of the characters befriended a man who she later learned had been involved in her husband's death - when told right it can be very powerful (not like AMC trying to make it a romance). ATWT almost had a big fire in mid-1994, so this seemed to be a "thing" with P&G at the time. I guess it fits the disaster backstage atmosphere.
    •   @jmgaw did not refer to Luke and Laura. Throughout 78 GH's ratings continued to rise as AW's fell. That turnaround was getting a lot of attention in the soap press with Scotty/Laura, Rick/Leslie/Monica etc . So the 90 min decision was a reaction to that. I guess the thinking was that 60 min expansion had worked so starting AW a half hour before might keep viewers from switching to GH at 3pm. I don't think anybody really thought it would work. The most sensible solution would have been to expand The Doctors and hope for a GH like turnaround, but for reasons unknown TD never went to an hour.
