I love Mama Elsa!

Btw, I just realized --- Lisa looks like a younger Adrienne from BH, but sounds and acts like Gretchen from the OC. I swear I'm watching a Miami version of Gretchen.

I still can't get over how Karent's facial expressions look just like Susan Lucci's - the smile, the expressions, the tiny body.... She's the Latin Lucci!

Karent is absolutely a Latin Susan Lucci. I also agree with the Adrienne/Lisa comparisons. I've always thought that. Elsa is the most beautiful though. Speaking of, I got an email from Marysol because my Havana Elsa coffee had been sent back. Somehow I wrote the wrong address LOL. I was wondering what had happened to it.

As time goes on Adrianna has absolutely become my favorite. She is perfection and I rank her with the best of the best in terms of housewives. After her WWHL smackdown of Joanna and this last episode she's my new goddess. Her interpretation of Karent with the artist was just classic.

NYC: Aviva is batshit crazy. "He was protecting his CHILD!" she screamed in defence of her elderly father...oh honey, you are a few fries short of a happy meal. Clearly, losing that leg led Aviva to be coddled like a glass doll her whole life, I'm sure she was never corrected and never told "No"...thus all her nasty, illogical, entitled bullshit has been reinforced as positive behaviour her whole life, what a mess Aviva is.

I still like having Luann around...I think not having an apartment in NYC and the show not filming at any point in the summer has really hurt Luann. If they shot during August/September/October/November that would provide them with plenty of footage from The Hamptons.

I want NYC to return with this exact cast, the show improved SO much this season.

It's been on Bravo's front page since it aired. This is up there with Nene vs Kim on WWHL. Basically, a foolish Joanna called in to defend herself against the recent hooker allegations and attack Adriana while shew as at it. Adriana ate her alive and had Joanna stumbling over her words and looking like a fool. Can.not.wait.for.the.reunion.

Video: http://www.bravotv.c...vs-joanna-krupa

Adriana was to calm while Joanna was talking so I didn't know how it would go, but she snatched that bitches weave right out of her scalp.

ETA:

Here is the full RHOM theme song, sung by Adriana. Not a bad song actually and her vocals are good compared to most housewives songs.

I was also surprised to see that Adrianna sings the Miami theme song. I love the opening song and how it ends with that Pop-Up Video sounding "Miami" at the end.

I also saw WWHL and it totally reminded me of Kim/Nene --- these girls are so bringing drama and want to be the new Atlanta or New Jersey. They just need to find viewers sad.png

They also have too many ladies... Marta and Alexia are basically housewives because they are shown just as much, if not more, than some of the housewives. Throw in Mama Elsa and the drag queen and you have 11 female characters to keep up with, along with the (cheating) husbands and kids. Miami is cray-cray!

That drag queen that would NEVER make it on RuPaul's Drag Race needs to sit down with his receding hairline. He just seems so desperate and his attempts to create drama are so transparent. I hope they don't give him the satisfaction of an appearance at the reunion.

Well I've read the court filing with my wife (a lawyer) and it's bad. Really bad. Jacqueline and Chris Laurita (in addition to three in laws) have all been named in the bankruptcy and alleged to have embezzled, defrauded and conspired together to (according to the judge) "provide for their increasingly opulent lifestyle" to the tune of $55 million in creditors.

Frankly, I've always though Jacqueline seemed sleazy and that her husband was too good to be true (just like her ex-husband and his wife, you all recall them, the insurance fraudsters?)...so this doesn't really surprise me. What does surprise me is how much money is involved. It's a boatload of debt and to be accused of personally stealing $7 million from a company they left in the shape of a husk is pretty damning.

Makes Teresa's $11 million bankruptcy look like peanuts.

That's what the blog said. You know so much about these matters so I was wondering what your opinion would be.

I get the impression this is something the show doesn't like to talk about, so they go along with Jacqueline changing the subject.

It seems like RHONJ has become so bogged down with all these landmines which they can hint at or recreate (where's Robert Stack when we need him most), but can never seriously go near oncamera. There's always the unspoken, and unpleasant, situation with the Guidices/Gorgas, especially pitbull Kathy.

Why didn't Steve respect Monica and Jeff's decision?  I get he's Jeff's father, and that's how it came out, but I don't like the ethics of the story. A stranger gets to make life or death decisions over a wife's demands?   I hope Monica secretly never forgave Steve's chauvinism.
    • Question: Jon-Michael Reed's review of 1977 is up in the retro soap section.  It includes a fleeting reference to comedic scenes between Jeanne Cooper and Julianna McCarthy regarding “Kay's would-be beau, Ralph the Plumber”.  Could someone please fill me in will more details? I forgot that Kay and Liz were friendly before Jill stole Kay's husband.  And the thought of Liz playing a comedic scene blows my mind, because I only recall her being dour both in demeanor and wardrobe.
    • I said on Twitter on Friday when Leslie mentioned Chicago that perhaps she might be related to one of Anita's bandmates. Since we hardly know anything about Leslie's childhood background. In addition, Leslie said she grew up listening to The Articulettes….
    • There was a scene in the past week or two with Leslie looking at some papers and mementos, which included an invitation or souvenir from Alan's memorial service or funeral -- it was dated as November 2024. Me just guessing but it seems to me that Martin's nightmares about the accident are from something longer ago than November.
    • ah thanks! do you know who the third one was in the blonde? the fifth one i know ive seen before in the brown wig but i forgot, and then ive never seen the psychic one before lol
    • I felt for Ted early on but as the story unfolded it has changed my opinion on him. To know he was cheating while his wife was struggling to give him a baby is a lot to deal with. Plus, this happened ages ago and still he's paying Leslie off and threatening her to leave town.  What really caused me to lose him in this episode was how even though he was busted, he still refused to take responsibility and come clean and the way he talked to Martin and Eva was terrible. To tell Smitty he better get Martin away from him when that is his SON who he used to cover up his affair? That is true dog behavior. Ted seems upset he got caught but I'm not seeing the remorse I would need to want Nicole to forgive him. I'm curious how I'll feel after Ted gets to talk to Nicole but I need him to fix it with the rest of the family as well.
    • I'm sorry. I well remember Jake doing Doris but I have no independent memory of the story around it.  Krystle with a K Lake, sure, both Tony the Tuna stories & NOT.  And, Jake also impersonated a woman named Bunny Eberhardt but he didn't know she was a woman so there was no drag. This weekend I re-watched Kevin & Mac, GH, and my strong impression is exactly what it was when I watched it in real time: They did not let them look very pretty. Of course, I think the best ever drag on GH was Alexis posing as the Q butler.  In a different use of drag at AW one Halloween, Jensen Buchanan went as Charlie Chaplin & Judi Evans went as, I think, a male gypsy.

    • I'm not sure who wanted them to dump REUNION & instead do a "Dallas-like daytime show" but it seems that it def came from NBC to AW through Rauch, so, yes, it absolutely could have been his (cough-another-stupid?) decision!!!! I've just begun the new Lisanti book so maybe I will find out. (I waited for the kindle version to come out.) I would apologize for being so critical & so sarcastic, too, but, well, I'm not actually sorry!  Silverman was NOT a friend to AW.  And, I believe the critique is on point & deserved! I wanted to explain why I think the timing is off for the 90 minute show to be a reaction to the GH Luke & Laura story & its hype. Because, for sure, networks & production companies did react to it! The first 90 minute show was Monday, March 5, 1979.  And, there was some unknown amount of time ahead of that with people arguing about it & then, planning it.  The Luke & Laura wedding was mid-November 1981.  They were on the run from Frank Smith & stayed overnight in Wyndham's Dept. Store early August 1980.
    • terrible at using forums and inserting photos, but jake in another world had a drag persona named doris, anyone know the episode or year? http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/ffad19.jpg
    • Yes, I am familiar with Fred Silverman. Agree, the 90 minute AW a very poor decision by Silverman. I think Silverman was behind the decision to go with Texas.
