The demos declined and have only recently stabilized at a lower number. It has taken awhile, but GH is starting to circle the drain ratings wise. In contrast, Y&R has lost some overall viewers, but its demos have held firm. I don't think that quality equals ratings, but I do think that a soap like any other tv show can drive away its few viewers faster with bad storytelling.
