Who care if she gets glowing reviews and has talent. That is irrelevant to MAB. Her only hope is if MAB personally likes her or her character suddenly develops a huge and very vocal fanbase.

I can see her returning, but it is not because she is a talented and a believable actress. If she returns, it is because she is cheap and MAB likes her personally. Talent is a low priority.

I did not see who wrote today's show, but I found (relative to some other shows) this was a very nice one. Why?

1. Mostly the Jill-Kay stuff. But I liked the extended Chancellor group. There was heart. I liked how Nina talked Jill into getting a grip.

2. I like Billy's seething hostility, and I buy it. I also feel that the way John "spoke" to Jack was very reminiscent of how he spoke to him in life. I also like the continued referencing of the organ donations of the past.

3. I didn't like the baby deliveries. It is fun for me to watch Adam "think on his feet", but the implausibilities of Sharon's hallucinations and (more importantly) CHEMIST Ashley agreeing to take a sedative took me out of the story. Ashley wouldn't have done that. I guess we're supposed to blame this on her mentally fragile state...but it wouldn't happen. I found Nick's grinning face between Sharon's legs strangely discomfiting. But I guess I would have felt the same--or worse--had we seen more of Taylor the alleged molester between her legs.

In the end, the strength of this show was in the cast (Thomas, Braeden, Cooper, Walton, Cast, Bierdz [yup...he's come a long way], Maitland, Miller [yup, that's what I believe, today], Bergman, Douglas). When they bring out the A-Players, we get decent drama (IMO).

I am surprised that I was as disturbed as I was about Adam's theft of that baby. This is deeply wrong...and I didn't expect to feel this outraged.

This is causing outrage on various boards, I've seen people are starting write-in campaign to CBS/Y&R/Sony to complain about it, as well as the overall direction of the show.

But nothing will change, Maria and her henchmen think they're writing Greek tragedy. This show needs new management, badly...

I'm surprised there's outrage, because so much else has happened on the show which people more often than not have not had a reaction to. I'm at the point where I'm just trying not to care, because I think they want to push our buttons, in place of actual storytelling.

The whole baby switch was rather boring to watch. It is so unoriginal and just makes zero sense. The Adam character is a cartoon and a total bore to watch. It had zero impact on me. I felt no emotion. Sharon seeing visions of Nick was just plain stupid. The whole story stinks!!

It's great seeing a lot of vets but the stories just suck. And someone please fire Thom Bierdz......he is just awful opposite all the heavy weights on today's show.

Exactly, shock can be good if there's good writing to back it up. But with this show, the execution, pacing, and general stories are just horrendous. Maria Arena Bell, Hogan Sheffer, Scott Hamner, and probably members of their writing staff use shock tactics to cover up their flaws and mask their poor writing skills. They think this will get the ratings up (and as we've seen over time, ratings for Y&R with this writing regime have gone DOWN). This show has been stunt after stunt and shock tactic after shock tactic all year. There's not much emotional resonance or much aftermath with anything, it's all just filler material until the next big shock and awe moment or stunt. Everything about this show is predictable and hollow.

I still hope they keep him around in a recurring capacity. I feel like there is heavy baggage to be explored in Jill and Nina and Chance and Katherine, regarding Phillip. Bierdz doesn't have to be good to make that work, he can just be OK (which I think he is). After they brought him back I think they have a responsibility to not kill him off or banish him again. At the very least just keep him in a supporting role and use him to bring out facets of the Chancellors.

I know this won't happen but I'd rather have seen the Shick miracle baby given to another couple, a childless couple, and then when Shick learned the truth, decided to let that couple keep the child. They are absolutely horrible parents and I can't say I am looking forward to them ever being reunited with this baby. The whole idea of "Sharon is a klepto slut and Nick is a neanderslut but it's OK because Cassie died and now she's giving them a child" still creeps me out.

During today's show I kept thinking another baby switch mess I have to endure...UGH! It's going to be dragged...Sharon cries over baby and cant believe it died....Newmans grieve....Ashley is in La La Land with fake baby....UGH!
